When a person isn't close to a family it makes a difference. There were no emotional ties to speak of.

Yes, but it was odd how she was surprised that Jeremy didn't want to live at the farm, and how she went there on her own a few days after the murders. As you say though, plenty of people lack sensitivity and are not squeamish.

Odd to you, Kaldin. Clearly not to Ann who may have thought it odd that he didn't want to live in, what she may have thought of as being, a beautiful house.

Where five people had died in a shooting, and there was a lot of blood. Yeah, right. If it didn't seem odd to her, then she must have lacked sensitivity, as I said.

I for one couldn't have contemplated living there. No way.

And I've not offered anything to the contrary. As I said previously, understanding doesn't mean agreeing with or condoning.

You should read up on the backfire effect

"The Misconception: When your beliefs are challenged with facts, you alter your opinions and incorporate the new information into your thinking. The Truth: When your deepest convictions are challenged by contradictory evidence, your beliefs get stronger.

You mean like when closer definition images were placed up showing wounds on the back of Sheila's hand and side of her index finger?  The hardcore guilters reacted as if the martians had landed  First there was shock / silence and then denial / meltdown / insults etc.  :))

Actually, it was a modern day version of "The Emperor's New Clothes".

You've just beautifully demonstrated Stephanie's point.

That's not what they showed and there was no shock silence either - certainly not from me.

I got caught stealing my mums home made apple crumble from the fridge when I was 7.

My reaction was 'shock, silence, denial, meltdown, insults'.

I don't recall having the same reaction when seeing Roch's pictures.

As I said, a modern day "Emperor's New Clothes". Some says "Wounds on hand" and supporters all join in with "Wounds on hand".

You were probably the first with the obligatory dismissal, out of the 6 members who hide their identity mulled around, wondering how to respond.

I don't agree with that. To me they look like wounds, not because Roch or anyone else told me that's what they were but because I think that's what they were.

Many 'supporters' did not particularly believe they were wounds.
