But they are arguing and giving reasons for JB not undertaking offence related work.

If JB had told his solicitors that he had done offence related work, then why are the solicitors putting reasons for JB NOT doing defence related work.

I can't understand why nobody is able to understand that. I'm finding this really quite a bizarre thread.  :-\

They are arguing for a downgrade of prison category status.. And in doing so they have suggested to the courts, based on JB's say so, that he's applied to undertake offence related course.. Whilst the word offence may have been omitted it cannot be about educational type course as these will not lower a prisoners status or make him less dangerous - only offence related course will do this - in some case imo.  >:( >:(

It says that he had applied to do various courses.  His solicitors didn't claim that he had applied to undertake 'offence' related courses.

That's how I read it, anyway!

Neil that is exactly how I read it

Here is my original post...

Is your interpretation that Jeremy Bamber applied to undertake various offence related courses and then when he came to start them was unwilling to do so?

I'm going to say this very carefully 8) It's (only!!!) my opinion but I think it's possible that he may have signed up for ANYTHING which he thought might contribute something in his favour -he may have thought signing up would be enough- but when push came to shove he ducked out of those courses that he may never have had any intention of doing, anyway....................Howz'at? ^-^

Ha ha..

Nope - the courts found from both Wakefield and Long Larton - no applications were on file.

But they have given reasons for NOT doing offence related work, it's not a secret, the solicitors are clearly aware because they have given reasons for NOT doing so.

And the courts have taken this into consideration - point 6.

It is absolutely ludicrous to compare the Simon Hall case to Jeremy's case

Hall had a xxxx violent past and admitted being a xxxx xxx xxx x murderer

Jeremy did not have a violent past and has never admitted anything

Arh okay - the solicitors are arguing in court and the judgement is based on this but is also based on submissions made prior to this.

The submission by JB about having applied for courses was made prior to the solicitors arguments of him not doing offence related work - meaning this argument came after...

No, but he's been caught out in quite a few lies. He will never admit it because he still has hope of fooling the courts into believing he's innocent and coming out to a nice compo settlement. Of course that won't happen.
