Research suggests there's a link between traumatic life experience and criminal behaviour
Michael O' Brien said he stuck out like a sore thumb in prison. I'm sure there are many people who have some trauma in life and don't go on to kill.

But of course Bambers supporters dismiss the fact that Jeremy said he wished his parents would die because they probably see this as normal behaviour?

Err... that is not a fact to dismiss in the first place.

That may not be a proven fact, but you can't escape from Bamber not admitting he hated his parents, as attested by Brett Collins and James Richards.

Since the evidence can establish Sheila hated June, believed her children were possessed by the devil and that she believed she was capable of murdering them. Who needs an escape?

You are probably best to go away and read about it for yourself. It's unlikely you'll take our word for it

I wasn't asking you anyway.

And what does the evidence suggest in relation to her father?

Sheila must have felt let down and also " betrayed " by her father as in past times he'd been her rock and only trusted support, but because of Junes latest illness when she was visiting her GP up to the tragedy,Nevill had focussed his concern, naturally,on his wife which Sheila in her mind would have seen as an act of betrayal.

But that is pure supposition. From what's been said, much of the time she was at WHF she seemed barely to be aware of her surroundings,. Then, of course, we must remember it was Harvest so Nevill's time, indoors, was going to be limited, and all we know of any family conversation comes from Jeremy so it can't be given credence.

So given that there wouldn't have been anyone -all, sadly being killed- to verify the claims, I guess it has to be authorial supposition/licence.

How am I supposed to know how/where these people get their information from ? It's more than likely on this forum too----------I haven't just plucked it out of thin air.

This is another popular misconception. Sheila was reticent on this matter to her Maida Vale set, to Colin, Nevill, and Jeremy. It might be instructive to look at the graffiti left on the wardrobe in her former bedroom: "I hate this place": note the message is not "I hate June" or "I hate my mother." We will never know her true thoughts on the matter, but I think she felt restricted by her, she could never truly reveal her true feelings towards her, but at the end of her life she did say to friends that she was grateful for what she had done for her as regards buying her the flat, and there seemed to me to be some kind of rapprochement.

Of course this is the last thing Jeremy wanted, his sole intention being to sow discord amongst the family in a vain attempt to divide and rule. He also thought that any intimacy between mother and daughter might lead to further expenditure on her, as it did with the planned allowance, and also possible school fees for the twins.

Sheila certainly wasn't indifferent to June or it wouldn't have been so important for her to gain June's approval, which she was still doing prior to her death. She'd only "found" God as a means of understanding her better. She didn't have to try with Nevill. His affection for her appeared unconditional.
