I would just like to add that whilst living on a daily basis alongside Bamber on B Wing, at HMP Full Sutton, between the spring of 1989 until the 27th July 1990, when I was granted bail pending my first appeal, Jeremy spoke very bitterly to me of Julie Mugford. You could tell that she had riled him, and done what she threatened to do to him, and won. The impression I got at the time (in the role of a person observer), was that Jeremy abhorred her. He did not actually get angry when he spoke about her, but you could sense that when he talked to me about her, he knew in his own mind that she had caused him untold damage with her lies and exaggerations. I myself had witnessed this in my own case, years before, when bitter family members of mine, had lied through their teeth to the cops and made witness statements to try and make me look bad. I felt the same sort of pain, which Jeremy was hinting at me when he spoke about Julie Mugford. I now realise that police officers had paraphrased the contents of my families witness statements, forging the phrases to suit the case the officer knew he or she was trying to prove. Looking back, I now realise that Jeremy was trapped in the same scenario that I found myself trapped in during the mid 1980's, onward...
It would appear that Jeremy hasn't been able to do right for doing wrong :
The so-called " lack of emotion" at the funeral,or a " put-on " version of crying.
The " pretence " of throwing up when told of the bad news outside WHF.
His " calm and calculated " behaviour at knowing JM told lies.
Look at this another way :
What if he'd been crying hysterically/uncontrollably at the funeral ? It would then have been said that he'd been putting it on.
As for throwing-up,how can one pretend when it's a normal reaction in some when they receive bad news ?
If he'd been arrested kicking and screaming and shouting obscenities towards JB,he'd have been classed as guilty.
How was this man supposed to have behaved under these said circumstances ??
There ARE people who keep their feelings in who don't throw hysterics at the drop of a hat just to please others ! Jeremy is one of them. He's level-headed and he knew there was a lot of work to do to get himself out of the horrendous situation he was in. Without outside help,he'd have been lost. His main aim was to " find " someone who he could trust and who would also believe in him too and that someone was Mike who started the ball rolling.
Who else would Jeremy have had to have broken this illegal cycle of imprisonment ?
