Well the words in your post are important
Jeremy had a beautiful cottage furnished from expensive furniture right opposite his favourite pub where he used to eat most days (try finding something bad from the owners about Jeremy, I don't think you will)
I am sure Jeremy loved going up to London but who knows if he wanted to live there permanently
Jane tell me what you know about this lovely flat
I know how you are trying to portray things
Jackie, I'm flattered but my words are only my opinion.
I feel certain that Jeremy's cottage was -probably- beautiful. I go past it frequently. I agree that the pub is excellent and that Jeremy used it often.......................however, in order to live in his beautiful cottage, he was required to work on the farm. Effectively tying him both to his job and his parents. NOTHING will convince me that he wasn't envious of Sheila's London "pad" and it's proximity to a life he'd have preferred. Had this not been so, he'd either have let it or sold it instead of moving in to it.
I fail to see why you think my opinion of it is so important. It wasn't I who wanted to live there.
As for how you think I'm "trying to portray things", how different is it from how you try to portray Julie?
