Proof that the moderator relied upon during the trial (DRB/1) belonged to the Anshuzt rifle has never yet been established...

As can be seen by reference to the above diagram, the internal design features of Parker Hale designed moderators differed considerably between 1984 and 1986. It has never been proven which model of silencer was sold to Ralph Bamber (purchased on the 24th November 1984) by Radcliffe gun dealers in Colchester. All we know is that Radcliffe's delivered the purchased moderator to whf along with the anshuzt rifle on the 30th November 1984. It therefore begs the question, to whom did the contaminated moderator (DRB/1) belong to?

The Bamber moderator, that being the one Ralph Bamber purchased from Radcliffe's on the 24th November 1984, delivered to whf on the 30th, had either 17 internal baffles, or 14 internal baffles? It makes a huge difference to the outcome of the case, which particular design of moderator was sold to Ralph Bamber. Was it the old type 17 baffled type, or as the case may be, the 14 baffled design? What we do know, is that when Ralph purchased his moderator on the 24th November 1984, that Radcliffe did not have any moderators in stock, so he had to order one via the manufacturers. This order could have been placed by telephone, or in writing. It just so happens that Radcliffe's did not receive the moderator from Parker Hale, until the very last day of November 1984, by which time Parker Hale had already been producing the new 14 baffled model from the beginning of the month. So, what we need to know is, what model did Radcliffe's sell to Ralph Bamber? Was it the old 17 baffled type, or the latest 14 baffle model?

If it was the 14 baffle model, then to whom did the blood / paint contaminated 17 baffle moderator, belong to?

Well, we know that ever since 1980, Anthony Pargeter had kept his own Parker Hale moderator at whf, and it is a now well established fact, that the blood / paint contaminated moderator, police say was used in the shootings, had 17 internal baffle plates, not 14...

We also have confirmation that a further two moderators were involved in the police investigation, one belonging to the finder of one moderator at the scene on the 10th August 1985, and another belonging to his father, Robert Boutflour. Through discussions held between Jeremy and myself between 1989 and 2004, I know that these two particular relatives had owned Parker Hale silencers themselves since long before the occasion when Ralph Bamber purchased his own moderator from Radcliffes the Colchester gun dealer, on the 24th August 1984. What this tells us, without bias, is that the David Boutflour, and the Robert Boutflour Parker Hale Moderators, each had 17 internal baffle plates...

I am not convinced, that the moderator purchased by Ralph Bamber late November 1984, had got 17 baffle plates. If not then the outcome of these police investigations, stands blown wide open, because it would mean that an outsider not yet brought into the frame, may have been involved in the shootings - that is to say, despite the jury being brainwashed into thinking the killer could only have been, (a) Sheila, or (b) Jeremy, (c) there may well have been involvement of a third party in the killing of June Bamber, and the two child victims...

if the Bamber owned moderator only had 14 internal baffles, it was not the moderator used in the shootings by anybodies account...

Let me hit the nail on the head, it was never Jeremys legal teams responsibility to prove and establish that the moderator purchased by Ralph Bamber in November 1984, did not have 17 baffles, it was the sole responsibility of the prosecution to establish that fact beyond reasonable doubt. In the circumstances of this case, I do not believe that the prosecution satisfactorily established this as a fact beyond reasonable doubt, in view of the fact that (a) at least three other relatives owned 17 baffled Parker Hale moderators from before the time of the shootings, these three relatives being, (1) Anthony Pargeter, (2) David Boutflour, and (3) Robert Boutflour. There is also something of importance and significance that Jeremy confided in me in the past which I have no reason whatsoever to doubt, and this is that (b) Peter Eaton, and Ann Eaton, also both owned Parker Hale moderators from a time before Ralph purchased his in November 1984...

So, we have no less than 5 relatives, who owned 17 baffled parker hale moderators, from before November 1984, all of whom became key figures in the prosecutions case that was brought against Jeremy Bamber in late September 1985, these being:-

(1) - Anthony Pargeter
(2) - David Boutflour
(3) - Robert Boutflour
(4) - Peter Eaton
(5) - Ann Eaton

Set against this, was the purchase of a new Moderator at the back end of November 1984, by Ralph Bamber, which almost certainly was a 14 baffle plate designed Parker Hale moderator. Even if it had been from old stock and the moderator purchased by Ralph Bamber in late November 1984 had 17 internal baffles, how sure can anybody be that the contaminated moderator belonged solely to the Bambers?

The matter gets further convoluted, because we only have the word of these relatives that such a contaminated moderator was even found in the cupboard of the downstairs office, on the 10th August 1985?

David Boutflour who finds the moderator in that cupboard, (10th August 1985) does not contact Essex police, until the 11th September 1985, by telephone, to report that he had in fact found the moderator in question. His sister, Ann Eaton, does not hand over the moderator her brother has contacted police about, until the very same date (11th September 1985). This is confusing since if Peter Eaton handed over the moderator in question to DS Jones, on the 12th August 1985, and Ron Cook took it to the lab' on 13th August 1985, retained possession of that moderator for another 17 days and nights, carrying the moderator around in his coat pocket. dismantling it, finding no blood inside it, rebuilding it and sending it off to the lab' on the 30th August 1985, for the attention of the ballistic expert, and it remaining in the possession of the lab' from then on in, to the date of the trial (October 1986) and beyond...

Funny thing then, that David Boutflour is phoning up Essex police on the 11th September 1985, telling them that he has found a moderator at whf, and that his sister Ann then hands over the said moderator to police that very same day...

Two moderators then, found at the scene, not one...

One moderator handed over on 12th August 1985 to DS Jones, by Peter Eaton, the other handed over by Ann Eaton, to the police, on the 11th September 1985...

Robert Boutflour informed the police on the 12th August 1985, that his son had found a moderator at the farmhouse that police should take an interest in, which led DS Jones to Peter Eatons house, to recover it. His son telephoned police on the 11th September 1985, to inform them that he had found a moderator at the scene, despite the fact that Essex police already had the other moderator, and they had had possession of it for a month already - Ann Eaton hands this moderator over to police...

By this stage (11th September 1985) Essex police have two moderators, one moderator handed over to them by Peter Eaton, on the 12th August 1985, the other moderator handed over by Ann Eaton to the police, on 11th September 1985. Seems to me that Ann Eaton, and David Boutflour, did not know about the previous handing over of the first moderator informed about by Robert Boutflour, handed over on 12th August 1985, by Peter Eaton, so they took it upon themselves to hand over the other silencer to police a month later. All parties claiming they only ever handed over one moderator...

For the purpose of promoting this particular argument further, I intend to pair off the relatives into three parties, as follows:-

1st party - Robert Boutfour and Peter Eaton

2nd party - David Boutflour and Ann Eaton

3rd party - Anthony Pargeter

I believe the 2nd party, aforementioned, did not know what the 1st party had done in handing over the first moderator to police on the evening of 12th August 1985...
