Caroline I can understand the confusion and I have not read everything that you have said on the lines of why you believe Jeremy to be guilty after once believing his innocence.
I am confused because firstly you say that you do not believe fully what JM said in her statements, yet there is a possibility that some truths were told. Could you outline what you might believe to be true and what you think might be false.
Also I am confused regarding the silencer...Do you believe this evidence to true or false?
Not getting at you, but would like to know....
Well, I must have said a million times (slight exaggeration) that I think the silencer was planted and purposely contaminated 'before' it arrived at the lab (whenever that was). I think SJ et al were certain Jeremy was guilty but were afraid they didn't have enough evidence and so - they helped it along. Even with the silencer evidence and JM's statement under his belt, SJ still commented that they might not have enough to satisfy the CPS.
As for JM, I don't think Jeremy told her all that actually happened, I think he only told her part of it, slotted in a few red herrings and completely made up the hit man story. I think he did so just in case she told someone and if her story was checked out, she would be discredited. I also think that SJ threatened her with an accessory prosecution so she was keen to give a statement and didn't mind embroidering the truth a little to save her own skin.
I believe Jeremy is guilty because the whole phone call scenario just doesn't tally with the timings and I can't excuse how the timings are now being shifted just to try and fit in a call from Nevill to police - which I believe is complete fiction. This together with the fact that he avoided answering the question about the wallet, made me suspicious 'initially' and once doubt sets in, you start to look at things differently.
