Kaldin.......there was a pair of jogging bottoms soaking in a bucket. However,I couldnt tell you what colour they were, just that they were dark coloured.

Cannot believe that the police did not seize these items of clothing. It is of coarse possible that JB had worn them to carry out the murders. He was happy enough to wear Sheilas clothes AFTER the murders!  ;)
When did Jeremy wear Sheila's clothes?
I have NEVER seen this, anywhere.

NEVER......... :o
Try reading Claire Powells book instead of insinuating that I am a liar!
Lady c, I would never try to insinuate you were a liar.
I've never heard of Claire Powell, or her book. What's it called, by the way.....sounds interesting.
I merely expressed surprise a strapping lad like Jeremy would wear clothes belonging to the petite, slight, Bambi.
That's all.
Sorry.

My husband has worn my underwear before  ;)

And he owns a limegreen Mankini  :-\
Does he have a whip as well? ;D

It is not uncommon for people to wear their deceased loved ones clothes. It may mean he did love sc after all. Maybe.

Beginning to sound a bit like the silence of the lambs this thread.

Surely Shiela's clothes woudn't fit Jeremy? Anyway a sweater is a sweater
My wife sometimes wears my sweaters. But that means I can't wear them any more because now they're OUT OF SHAPE GRRR :o
It all appears to be hearsay this. I can't imagine JB wearing Sheila's knickers, can you? I mean....they would be too small and so would her bra. Jumpers and jerseys are different though. Some are definitely worn by men and women.

That photo of him when hes led away with the jumper on, he looks like hes got eye liner on so maybe he was having a bit of a dress up! anyway nothing wrong with that each to their own!

Back in the eighties there was a LOT of that going on. I met my husband in the late eighties. He had black, dyed hair and eyeliner AND mascara - it was NORMAL. Well, at least in certain circles. We also shared clothes (and still do - at least I borrow clothes from him  :P) And that includes jeans, yes.

Edit to add - maybe it was a bit strange that Jeremy would wear his dead sister´s clothes. I dunno! If he did kill her, it seems highly obtuse. If he didn´t, it could have been that he missed her.

Yes, that was the era of the 'New Romantics'.  Perhaps JB was a fan?!  Still, a bit weird to wear his sister's clothes though....

Now I am finding this weird indeed!
In 1985 I was 28 years old and well remember men
wearing eye liner, etc.
They had been doing so since the 1970's Glam Rock era.
But wearing your recently dead sisters clothes!!!!
Sounds like he might have been into cross dressing - but
even if he was I still cannot imagine why he would want to
wear Sheila's things after the murders.
If he was so upset by what had occurred I just cannot understand
this.
Is it definately correct that he did this?
I have two grown up sons and a daughter and if either one of my sons
did this in the same circumstances I would think that they had lost their marbles!

It was a jumper apparently. That's nothing to do with cross-dressing.

I guess people react in different ways. My lovely, fantastic sister, whom I miss every single day, passed away a few years ago. We were the same size and her husband asked me to go through her clothes to see if there was something I wanted (this was months after her passing.) He said, PLEASE do it - he didn´t know what to do with her clothes and personal belongings. But thing is, I couldn´t. I just could not - and she had some gorgeous, expensive clothes.
All I could do was sort through her make-up stuff and throw things away and keep one  thing, she had never used, as a memory. I still have it - a special edition Chanel thing; but I never used it.
But I know that other people like to keep, for instance, a piece of clothing or a used pillow case, to be able to smell their deceiced, loved one.

I have no idea what Jeremy Bamber´s motives for using her clothes were; I don´t know him. But it gives me a strange feeling, I have to say. I get this thought that he was jealous of her and wanted to take over where she left - JUST speculating!!!

Yes, abs, but you're a girl, so you having her clothes sort of makes sense.

Maybe JB was envious of her having a flat in London and he and his friend were for some reason staying there.
I wonder if the flat was owned outright by the family or maybe they could only stay there for a limited amount of time.  Or perhaps they just didn't want to leave it empty and vulnerable to burglaries.

My mum died unexpectantly 2 years ago and i have kept every silly little thing including her hair rollers, clothes and grocery shopping lists. I don't know why but people cope differently.

I'm not sure weather the fact that he may or may not have transvestite tendencies is all that relevant to weather hes guilty or innocent of murder.

he could those clothes from his sister before the murder.

Yes,  of course, everyone is different.  My mum stilll has all my dad's clothes and stuff in her house.  But when years before when her father died, she and my aunt were cross with my grandmother for still keeping my grandad's clothes and had a massive clearout on her behalf and took them all to a charity shop on her behalf!  Rather hypocritcal in my opinion...

" He was happy enough to wear her clothes AFTER the murders"
This is what I meant. When did Jeremy wear Sheila's clothes???????????????????????
It's the first I've heard of it? Where did you get that from?

It has been stated in two different books ,that after the murders,JB and BC spent alot of time at Sheilas flat.People stated that he was using his sisters clothes,ie:tight jeans and jumpers. When JB got arrested at the flat, the white arran jumper he is seen wearing in the photos was Sheilas.

Sounds a bit weird to me. After all, people noticed it didn't they??

I don't see that as at all weird. I used to wear a jumper of my father's after he died. My father was over a foot taller than I am, so the jumper was huge on me and it was so obviously a man's jumper. I didn't care what it looked like, I found it comforting to wear it. If Jeremy Bamber did wear some of Sheila's things - and we have only the word of the books' authors for that - he may have worn Sheila's things for the same reason.
