I thin k the Jeremy who lived in 1985 was emotionally seated more between 15 and 17 and intellectually more of a mixture of Hooray Henry and hooligan than conscientious academic and PHD student. I imagine his parents did their best to keep his, to them, unseemly behavior in check, and I imagine that for the MOST part, leaving aside the odd lapse, he complied OR behaved in such a way that convinced them he was trying. I think it would have been a heady feeling to realize that he'd made front page news, he was famous and there were no longer any restraints on him. I imagine he felt omnipotent................but it doesn't mean he killed anyone.
I imagine that for the MOST part, leaving aside the odd lapse, he complied OR behaved in such a way that convinced them he was trying......Or such behavior could be consistent with a cold blooded, calculating murderer who went on to eliminate everyone who was standing in the way of a wandering and warped mind.
What did the judge say when passing sentence about Jeremy......... something like despite an outwardly presentable appearance Jeremy was warped, callous, and evil, almost beyond belief?
