Hello Daniel

noted all your points and I am perplexed at some of your points.  Now you must remember I am still wearing "L" plates as I am quite new to the case but I was not aware that Ralph was shot in the Master Bedroom thought that was just poor June.  When Jeremy arrived at the farm on his Mother's bike the outside dog would have heard him and barked dogs have very sensitive hearing.  Secondly Crispy was a yappy little dog and would have barked when Jeremy opened a window and climbed in thus awakening members of the household., It is my belief that Sheila did not retire to her bed when her parents did the pm shows she had digested food later than the rest of the family.  We have the incident with the tampon holder being found in the Lounge June would never have allowed that so that tells me June was sleeping the buckets of blood stained clothing who was responsible for that not Jeremy that is for sure.  If you read the statements it is thought that Sheila was shot much later than the rest of the family.  Had Jeremy gone to Sheila's bedroom to wake her and make some kind of threats why did he just not kill her there why did she have to be in the Master Bedroom with her bible it would have made more sense had she been with her children trying to protect them.  You appear to be saying Jeremy shot Sheila with the silencer on by telling her to close her eyes and pray then he went to all the trouble of putting the silencer back I believe in a box in the gun cupboard without cleaning it first then he shot her again without a silencer on the rifle.  After this terrible fight in the kitchen did he receive any marks on his body or blood on his clothes what happened to his blood stained clothes.  It has been reported I think you may have mentioned it that Jeremy was callous and had Crispy put to sleep why not put a bullet in the poor dogs head whilst he was at it.

After he carried out this horrendous crime why not go home phone nobody and wait for somebody to contact with the terrible news.  We all know that no forensic evidence was found at the scene to incriminate Jeremy only the silencer? and a statement from a woman scorned.  Think about it Daniel if you intended to murder your entire family would you confide in your girl friend prior and after then a few weeks later dump her not a sensible thing to do not clever at all not the actions of a clever cunning young man.,
The answer would probably be that Sheila was a zombie and Jeremy was stupid.

I wonder what made David Boutflour take the silencer out of the box? Why were they looking in the gun cupboard at all I wonder? Did they think that the silencer was used before they looked in the gun cupboard, or afterward?

I have always thought they were looking for something, Lugg....Anything.  I think they had already decided Jeremy was guilty for whatever reasons and were looking for proof, or what they saw as proof.  I wonder if when they kept pestering the police about Jeremy being guilty if they were told to go away and only come back if they found some proof?

I think the guilty stance on this is that the phone call was his alibi. If he was at home taking calls from Neville, he couldn't be at the house carrying out the murders. However, he couldn't know that the call couldn't be traced and if they could prove there was no call, he'd have been banged to rights.

The dogs would certainly have been barking if they had head a noise at that time of the morning and June was a VERY light sleeper. I doubt he would have even gotten his toe through the window without ending up looking down the barrel of a 12 bore!!

Hello Caroline  why does one need an alibi when nothing exists to connect you to a crime being in bed fast asleep is good enough surely.  We dog lovers know a dogs hearing is so much more tuned than ours and the outside dog would have picked up the slightest noise and Crispy would have barked like crazy somebody entering through a window wow. The evidence that convicted Jeremy was so weak I find it hard to comprehend that it happened and I fear something is radically wrong with the system the fact he is still locked up.  When I came on the forum a year ago I knew nothing of Jeremy Bamber but after  reading the forum with some of the top information posted by Mike I cannot see how or why Jeremy committed this crime.  I believe he was to inherit a large amount of money from Grannie Speakman who was quite old if he wanted money he just had to wait.

Susan, it's only just occured to me that if Jeremy, her adopted grandchild was to receive the bulk of her estate, what had she left to her other grandchildren?

If you think a man with a mission he has been planning for a year is going to be thwarted by a yapping dog you are much mistaken. He couldn't shoot it because it's not a woman's thing and the whole episode had to be blamed on Sheila. Ann Eaton says in her statement that the kitchen window was sometimes left open as a cat flap so that may explain Jeremy's entrance and egress. He may in any case have been fixing the window to open and close with a tap for months by scraping the catch with a hacksaw blade, and when the finger of suspicion turned on him after the murders he made sure that any future forensic evidence would be contaminated by entering the property himself by that means as a subterfuge on 16th August.

We don't know for sure the whereabouts of Sheila except that she was exhausted most of the time with the side-effects from Haloperidol as Colin's letter tells us when she couldn't get out of bed sometimes in the morning to take the twins to school. It's indications like these which leads me to believe that Jeremy thought he was putting a sick girl out of her misery,as well as freeing up Colin to start a new life without the children:we know that at the party Jeremy told him that the twins were "a millstone round your neck" and had quizzed Sheila on the exact days she was going to be present at the Farm. Jeremy probably scrutinized her routine on the Sunday and Monday night and realized that Sheila spent a lot of time in her own room and would not be likely to enter her sons' bedroom at night. The murders necessitated Sheila being removed from her room though which is why Jeremy led his sister by the hand like a lamb to the slaughter under the pretext that June needed her for a Bible class. I doubt that he would need to threaten her in any way as she would already be in a peaceful state and certainly looked that way in death,as any threats might be counterproductive and lead to complications.

After the murders it's quite possible Jeremy was in a state of euphoria induced by the cocktail of drugs which were necessitated in girding his loins in the first place to carry out the murders, hence the telephone calls to Julie as well as getting the Police involved as he thought he could deceive, corroborated by the "I should have been an actor" remark to Julie whilst they were alone for a moment that first morning at Goldhanger. Jeremy was sustained throughout this period by cannabis which he brought back from Amsterdam, and Julie said he was increasingly reliant on cannabis that last year and got moody without it. The tampon in the living room is interesting because according to Ann Eaton it had been cut with scissors to make it small enough to clean the silencer, and here we have Jeremy's black sense of humour asserting itself as it's Sheila's own appurtenances which Jeremy uses in an attempt to abrogate any suspicion that he was involved in the crimes.

Mabel Speakman left her money to her two children,Pamela Boutflour and June Bamber. The talk of Jeremy somehow missing out on a substantial sum from his grandmother is mistaken.

Steve, if I was marking the above, I would award you 9 for grammar and vocabulary and 0 for content. :)
