260 pages of Shorthand (typed) notes, from the 2002 Appeal...

The above document is new to me but looks worthy of discussion.

I've read it quickly and it seems the defence employed a couple of private detectives to look into Sheila's background.  They concluded more museli than marijuana.

Well at least that's some light relief for a change.

This doc is heavy going but I'm wading through.  Up to page 15 where it seems to state a silencer was found in the bedroom?

Well that's a relief.

What do you think about the broken butt causing the scratches?  Were the scratches measured and if so did they correpsond in some way with the silencer?  Or was the paint the only connection put forward?

David1819 have you read this document in full?  Did you note anything of interest?  What's your overall take on it?  I've skimmed it and now reading it more closely but only up to page 26.

I call " skimming " doing a Mugford as that's what she used to say when being questioned, pretending that she'd read the bit about the £25,000, particularly the date in which it was signed for.

Thread as per title.  Stop dumbing everything down to your level which is simply slagging off the prosecution witnesses.

It wouldn't be the first time that someone's been paid to stand as prosecution witness to give evidence. A truly despicable practice that doesn't deserve a place in law.

It does make me wonder about others who could have received a back-hander, B.Wilson and B.Collins for instance who in their original EP interviews gave shining examples of the kind of person JB was.

Some time before the murders Sheila had told BW " ALL PEOPLE ARE BAD AND SHOULD BE KILLED " DS Jones had never obtained a witness statement about what Sheila had said and neither BW or AE ever mentioned this in any interview.

And how do your two posts above relate to the thread title?

The above doc is quite unwieldy so I have attempted to make it user friendly by breaking it down into the various aspects and even this is somewhat of a chore!  I will complete and amend when I have time -

Ground 2 Pages 61 - 83 - Fight in kitchen

Ground 3 Pages 83 - 99 Windows

Ground 4 Pages 100 - 116 - Telephone timings (Bamber to Julie)

Ground 5 Pages 117 - 131 - Julie Mugford (Immunity/bank and press)

Ground 6 Pages

Ground 7 Pages 138 - 147 - Colin Caffell wit stat

Ground  8 Pages 147 -         Photo "I hate this place"

Ground 9 Pages

Ground 10 Pages

Ground 11 Pages

Ground 12 Pages 161 - 168 - Police using phone at farmhouse

Ground 13 Pages 168 - 205 - Scars on hand

Ground 14 Pages 205          - Blood/DNA/Silencer

Because what I wrote wasn't even typed up ! It should have been as being an important part of the appeal in this one-sided farce.
