I would be in a tent right now if I could have got time off work for Download tickets.......

mat my dad took me on my 1st camping trip when I was about 5 years old. We set up camp at the side of a trout river...We used the water to drink and to wash....

We had gone to bed that evening and it was still light....My dad must have been exhausted, he has carried me everywhere.....

I was woken up by noises outside the tent....I was a bit frightened, but my dad reassured me that it was ramblers walking past....The noise got closer and closer and in pops a cow through the tent flaps....

 ;D ;D ;D

However, when people posted pictures of Grahame's house  I did say "If people posted pictures of my house I would be mad."

Which was me in Grahame's shoes and not speaking about my own property. SO if that is where your information comes from - you're wrong.

Not that it matters where the heck I live.

Oh, sorry, Mat, it's just that you said you have a house a few times. I thought you meant it.

Well that cow was a ...cheeky cow!
The only time I've been camping is for festivals. No showers, raving until the early hours of the morning, beer..ahhh the easy life.

Never been to a festival....I love the Country life, and it's real ale pubs. I work in the city, have done for the most of my life, hate the place...I live near the Peak District, absolutely love it.  :)

No it was all pot at the festivals. I went to the Reading Festival with my daughter. The lead guitar of spiritualised collapsed when he got on stage, he was completely stoned.

The band asked: is there anyone in the audience who can play lead on our music?

"I CAN!", shouted my daughter and began practically climbing over people's heads to get up on stage. She could alright and she did. She was brilliant!

I have many times Mertol......on my way to Manchester airport. It's the first place that closes in bad weather, it is at the foot of the Pennines...so very high altitude. Even n summer, it can rain up there and, be foggy. :) :)

I've camped in the Brecon Beacons years ago now. Never drink from mountain streams unless you boil the water first. It ain't as pure as it looks. I woke up with cows munching outside the tent as well.

Arh Grahame the Brecon Beacons..that is where i saw my 1st Red Kite, it was awesome. I think at the time there were only 3 pairs in Wales....many years ago, it brings back fond memories.  :) :) :) :)
