Arh Grahame the Brecon Beacons..that is where i saw my 1st Red Kite, it was awesome. I think at the time there were only 3 pairs in Wales....many years ago, it brings back fond memories.  :) :) :) :)
Bet it's a soggy nightmare there today, Patti :o :o

ive been to high peak a few times ,alfreton glossop area, there is a charming village called chuckney somewhere.

Do you mean Cuckney Mertol? I think they have the oldest post office in the Country.  :) :)

Hi maggie :) Matlock is great...been up in cable cars. All the bikers go there on a Sunday afternoon, great little place.  ;D ;D

It's a must visit for anyone....and see the mines too...well worth going for a day out and a pub crawl...lol  :) :)

Hi Patti  I am in the Highlands of Scotland just now and the weather is beautiful but I think rain is coming in later tonight :(

Oh lucky you...I was in Loch Awe a couple of years ago..it's fantastic up there Susan. Nearly got a glimpse of the Golden Eagle.....It was showing the day before, but sadly I didn't get to see it. Where about are you, or is that secret?  :) :) :)

My daughter was in her early teens, I was so proud that she had the confidence to do that.

Hi Mertol, that's right...It's an awesome view when you get to the top...The cafe's are a rip off though.  :) :) :)
