Anyone doing anything special?
Street parties? Bank holiday drinking? Or just making the most of the 4 days off work?

lol......Four days of partying this end Mat!!

First one begins at 1pm....but it's overcast here and one is somewhat doubtful about it remaining dry as forecast.

Happy holidays!!      :D

A Jubilee without the Sex Pistols just doesn't seem right does it?  Maybe now would be a good time to string up Bunting about those guns he handed in though?

Nope. I am baby sitting two of my grandchildren. My daughter went out on Friday night on her hen party...poor me was not invited  :(

Daughter had headache yesterday  ;D, she doesn't drink normally at all, unlike her mother.

I love having them, love em to bits, but they are going home today, although they want to stop till tomorrow. Sadly for them I am out tomorrow with friends eating and drinking...well more drinking than eating...Ha!  8) 8) 8)

A friend of mine has had to organize a large street party in Ruislip and it's overcast there, let's hope the rain holds off

Congratulations, your majesty, but please, please do something about the horrible hats you so often wear. take a leaf out of your sartorially wonderful mother's book. Stop wearing those high crowned and awful monstrositities, such as the horror below, which make your face look so severe, and go for a softer look as the queen mum did, it would transform your image.

this is the look you should aim for. Stunning, even at the age of a hundred odd.

Prince Philip is looking well anyway, at least he doesn't have to worry about what hat to wear.

the queen looks well too, yet to me she never looks confident or truly happy, she always seems a little nervous of her role and of us. Her mother was one tough lady, yet she always looked soft and feminine and she was so adored because she looked and acted like the nation's mother and grandmother. I think she had the knack of being tough and soft at the same time - and always feminine. the Queen Mum's hats expressed this softness and femininity.

Yet the queen seems to feel she has behave and dress like a businesswoman. But your Maj, even businesswomen don't dress like this now.  In her dotage it's time for her to let her hair down a little and enjoy herself with her subjects as the queen mum did.

Maybe the queen should try gin and golden virginia roll ups, I think that's what got the QM through the day ;)
