Morning Ladies

Re the "I hate this place" it was as I'm sure you know something raised at 02 CoA.  Dr F stated that It wldn't surprise him if Sheila wrote it, or words to that effect, due to her immaturity.  The appeal court judges applied little weight and said something along the lines of it wldn't have affected the jury's decision as they were aware of Sheila's mental state  :-\.

However, interestingly I'm pretty certain it was Patti who recently stated that Colin confirmed in his book (1990) Sheila was the author.  Which kind of begs the question why Jeremy's qc's at CoA '02 were unaware?

It would have appeared to me that nobody was fully aware of the severity of Sheilas' health which it was finally stated, had deteriorated,,but nobody defined deteriorated i.e. what imminent knock-on effect this could have had.

Jeremy,,unfortunately has had some very weak defences who've not really had much to say for themselves. This time,,let's hope that no stone is left unturned.

BTW,,if you want an insight of the case,,read Ron Cooks' version from the 30th of March,on this forum,,headed " Bambergate The Whole Truth and Why Jeremy Bamber Will Not Win.

So really then, it could also have been Jeremy, a year or so prior.

I think it could have been anybody but i have literally just read in Colin's book that he thought he possibly saw it the last Christmas he stayed there but he couldn't be sure

Whoever wrote it then, it cannot be said to be indicative of their state of mind the following August.

The carving I hate this place offers three points of debate, firstly it refers to a location as to a person/s, in what expression are the italics, no further words to explain why, someone in that house is troubled.

Morning mertol22 I Hate This Place may not be referring to WHF but to the state of mind the person was in at that time. Meaning I Hate The Place I am at now.

this is it if you haven't seen it

It's a wonder Bamber hasn't been blamed for it... i.e. trying to set his sister up etc.

This early letter is joined up handwriting.  I wonder if the capitals came about, from the need for letters to be more legible?
