Unfortunately this appears to be what it degrades to, nothing more than people seeking to discredit each other.

In reality it's all quite irrelevant, other than to those wishing to score meaningless points in a meaningless exchange.

Tit for tat and repeat.

What do you mean Hartley?

What do you think the motivation is for attempting to discover the identities of members of this forum?

It seems to me that an equally valid question would be what is the motivation for divulging the identities of other forum members?

Hi Bridget  What would the motivation be for divulging members identity does it matter who we are as long as we are all respectful to each other and civil :)

Do you mean on the part of the other forum or on the part of this forum?

Yes, that was going to be my next response.

Hence my earlier tit for tat description.

(Although I also meant people on this forum trying to find out the identities of other people on this forum).

EDIT: I misunderstood your post.  :-[ Yes that is also a very valid question.

Couldn't agree more Susan.

Couldn't agree more Susan.

Me too, but I'd suggest the chances of that happening unanimously across the board to be remote.

Hence my other, points scoring comment.

Both, but I'm only really interested in this one.

Hi Roch  what I find amazing is that some people on the forum are quite paranoid about who is who and as I said to Bridget who cares who is who.  The forum is not connected to the Secret Service and we have not be sworn into the Official Secrets Act it is just to openly debate and it is quite obvious to me quite a lot of members live in close proximity so do know each other. Hope not too many caps for you Bridget ;) ;) ;)

Well nobody seems to be willing to take a crack at answering the question(s), but I think deep down we all know the answer don't we?
