The most chilling aspect from the gulity perspective is the aftermath.

Spending time in the company of the man whose children you have murdered. Having a meals together, enjoying his hospitality  putting him in the front car of the funeral procession. And all the while it's just a big ploy.

Much like when Ian Huntley went up the to the father of one of the girls he killed and said " I'm sorry I didn't know she was your daughter, I hope she turns up "

It did puzzle me. The only connection I can think of is the easy accessibility of guns in the cases Cambridgecutie highlights, which could be tied in with the situation which pertained at White House Farm.
