Unsure on how he would feel the relatives would react. It appears they had a rocky relationship.

From the information given its all hugs and condolences until the fostering conversation is mentioned then it's all suscipion.

Colin supported him in the early stages.

I have read Colins book, and even he was angry over some of the relatives behaviour, particularly the black flowers on shelias coffin.

Suspect that until then the only information the relatives will glean about Jeremy is from Nevill and June. They didn't mix with him unless at family business meetings.

RB had told Nevill " to throw the bastard out " in response to Jeremy's behaviour. So it's clear they didn't have a particular warm view of him.

RB and AE are the most dominant. DB and PB don't seem as suspicious at first off. DB thought " he wouldn't have gumption to do it "

He would have noticed the relatives were becoming suspicious of him from the way they would have interacted with him. Conversations would have been more abrupt less friendly etc.

He wanted things burnt quickly carpets etc.

He also wanted his family ( mum dad sister )cremated, this was a big thing as his parents were staunch Christians and wanted a burial not a cremation.

So he did have some awareness, he wanted this done because he worried about what could be later yielded in my view.
