Can remember a guy I knew who was done for stealing a car from a burglary in Sheffield some years back. He was on the traffic cops programme. After a car chase, he managed to flee on foot. He got away. Momentarily

The only conclusion I can come to is that he was reluctant to get rid of the silencer in case questions arose as to where it was. Normal practice I believe was for it to be on .22 at all times except for when cleaning.

Him not being forensic minded or aware points to why he just put it back in the cupboard without cleaning.

Him summoning Julie on the scene from the gulity perspective is purely due to the fact he is anxious of her blabbing to anybody.

He must have been extremely confident she wouldn't grass him there and then. You have to look at it from his way of thinking.

The relatives in particular AE was on his case from day one.

Soon after the fostering discussion Anne was on his case bigstyle.

He wanted things burnt quickly carpets etc.

He also wanted his family ( mum dad sister )cremated, this was a big thing as his parents were staunch Christians and wanted a burial not a cremation.

So he did have some awareness, he wanted this done because he worried about what could be later yielded in my view.

If the relatives had no access to WHF, they would have still gone to Ainsley.

Ainsley may have ordered a new search of WHF. However so long afterwards & with items destroyed, he may not have.

If i was him I would have not felt comfortable carrying this crime out. In terms of being believed. He's not a master criminal by any stretch of the imagination. He took a big gamble and paid heavily. I would never do such a heinous thing. But I am simply weighing up the pros and cons of his situation.

If it right about shelia being out of it she is the worst scapegoat imaginable to have.

Sheila was both a good and bad scapegoat.

Good in that she would put up no or minimal resistance.

Bad in that people could say Sheila could not have committed the massacre.

Bamber could counter the bad by spending hours and days insinuating Sheila to the police. After he had staged the scene.

The other thing he could have done before putting the silencer away was -
