The main thing would be terrain & vision in the night. I know what 4.2 miles is like to cycle.

Be interesting to know how bike friendly the route from his back garden to The Sea Wall entrance was. He would have to double back.  This avoids the Fish Street properties.

Also be good to know when he turned off The Sea Wall to get to WHF. Some path ways will be better than others.

Remember to be familar with the route before going there in the dark.

Even I would probably say it was too difficult if going in cold.

A bike is not essential. You will be able to tell how easy it would be to cycle just by looking/walking.

However being greedy, be interesting to know how quickly you could cycle it. Going at a good pace.

I thought he had to go to thistle street for the sea wall.
