I agree you have to factor in the frozen State Pension. I think that happens in all Latin American countries, sadly.There's a list of the 13 cheapest countries here. Yes: the only problem is nobody knows whether you legally own the property as it may have belonged to a Cypriot Greek who was ethnically cleansed when Turkey invaded in 1974 and the island was partitioned. Does anybody recognize Northern Cyprus? I think not.
