If i could have my wish, i would just set off into the sunset on my bike and tour the world.  There is a website called warm showers that put cyclists up for the night in different countries.  I think ive read about four books on this subject now.
I think those days have gone Hardy Boy.

I think in Uruguay it's decided on a case by case basis. It's always difficult to compare countries in South America as there's more to consider than GDP, such as political stability, crime rates, health outcomes etc.

I think if you were to make a list of candidate countries Portugal would be top or near the top.

Argentina has recently changed the rules for retirement, requiring a minimum income of $2000 per month, though I have read they will judge individual applications on a case by case basis. https://youtu.be/-ACn_vkfkCA

I've always wondered why nobody seems to go on holiday there. Then again, we (UK) don't tend to visit South America or Central America (apart from Mexico resorts).

I think it's not geared up for the Package holiday Industry like the Carribean and Mexico Roch.

They have started package holidays to Argentina. https://www.loveholidays.com/holidays/?destinationIds=3124&nights=7&rooms=2&flexibility=0

For retirees there's still the frozen pension issue. https://rossnaylor.com/frozen-state-pension/
