How did Sheila damage her toe ?

Only two explanations have been given -

'Standing on a rug' - David.

'Trying to shoot herself- Sutherst.

---------------

Both of these have to be dismissed as too implausible.

The red particle which was found matched the part which was missing from Sheila's damaged toenail------saying that she was in the kitchen when the damage to her toe occurred.

How was this confirmed?  Did Sutherst see Sheila? Did he notice an injury -which there must have been- to her toe? Was an injury to her toe -resulting in a missing piece of nail and varnish- noted at autopsy? Simply saying -for convenience sake- it was there but the pathologist failed to notice it, doesn't make it true.

On my laptop.

So there is no picture then.

And nothing in the pathologist report.

I don't get your interest when you know he's guilty. It puzzles me--------so weird.

I'm sure it does puzzle you, Lookout. I'd be surprised if if didn't. For someone whose entire world falls into categories of black or white, I appreciate how difficult for you are grey areas. The thing is -and I've always said this- there are several areas here which remain exactly the same whatever side we're on, ie Ann and her father aren't characters many of us would warm to. Colin doesn't come over as being the type that many of us would have chosen for our daughter to marry. I feel perfectly certain that we debated only those areas, it wouldn't actually matter which side we were on.

If it was from the mantle the complexion would be darker and there would be allot more paint chippings on the ground.

Not necessarily. Colours in photographs won't be an exact representation of reality and  the chips wouldn't necessarily fall in the same spot.

If you favour guilt - but also suspect the sound moderator was concocted to form part of the 'noble cause corruption', then if red chipping was paint from the mantelpiece, isn't that a bit of a jarring coincidence?  I mean the paint on the sound moderator is supposed to be from a struggle in the vicinity of the mantelpiece. I know what the answer will be. 'It's paint from the mantelpiece but not linked to any struggle'. All bases covered.

That wouldn't be my answer - although I question it and have a suspicion that the moderator wasn't used - maybe it was? Wouldn't it also be a coincidence for a toe nail chipping to fall on the carpet EXACTLY where the paint from the mantel would fall?

Surely we're on neutral territory here. My previous post made no reference to either innocence or guilt. I stand by what I said. Anyone must be genius beyond words who can claim, from a picture, that a tiny flake of red comes, not from the red fire surround but from red nail polish which has found it's way from nail to floor, and furthermore can be seen, from that picture to be a closer match to the nail polish than to the paint. I don't care WHICH side you're on, that statement must be questionable.

Without testing the flake, it is impossible and foolish to claim it came from any source. It could have come from either or neither!

On my laptop.

Sheila didn't have a damaged toe, a little of her toenail varnish had come off. It happens all the time but you never actually find the varnish in clumps around the house!

A damaged toenail as opposed to a damaged toe-------although still painful if a chunk of your nail is lost through stubbing it.
They shouldn't have been so long !

It's a no win situation for supporters.

Either Sheila didn't have a big kitchen fight. So no nail polish would fall off.

Or she did have a big kitchen fight. Meaning she would have more than just dried toe nail varnish falling off.

--------------

There is no photo of a damaged toe & no pathology report mentioning it. No one can give a credible way the polish came off.

This issue was brought up in 2010 after the CT wheeled out Sutherst.

As in the 'footprint at scene', David just included it to bunk up his list and hoped I wouldn't ask questions.

It's it's just wear and tear, it doesn't fall off in clumps.
