Mike you'll be made to feel like the criminal I can assure you of that. Their " war-cry " when there's a neighbourly dispute is " least said soonest mended ",yet for some unknown reason keeping on the side of the criminal ?
I was involved in a dispute with my daughter's neighbour quite a few years ago after she'd kindly invited the family for a welcome evening. To cut a long story short, the teenage son of the family threw a wobbly after a couple of glasses of wine so my daughter showed him the door. Then since that episode, the monstrous son didn't forget and continued to terrorise the family, along with his step-father and even threatened to find me at my own house where I was living at the time. I reported the matter to the police and told them I'd have to move to which they'd said " was a good idea !". I did.
Between the step-father and the son they caused mayhem, slashing all 4 tyres on my daughter's car.Throwing paint at their house and generally being obnoxious.
However, after having made statements to the police to take the matter to court, the CPS decided it wasn't worth bothering with and threw it out Unknown to us as a family the family from Hell had been in trouble before and were known to the police ? Yet I was told to drop all charges or they'd give me Hell ?
It was then that my faith in justice went to rock bottom.
Not so long after, the darling son was involved in an armed robbery at a local shop but didn't go to prison, instead, much to the relief of my family, the neighbours did a moonlight and the horrible son fled down South somewhere---------richer pickings I expect.
When police were questioning the family, they were all laughing and joking amongst themselves, police and all, and the stench of cannabis coming from the house was enough to knock you out without smoking it,yet the police never turned a hair. Amazing !!
Quite a while after I received a letter about Victim Support,so I sent it back by return of post with two words--------sod off.
