Was she going to ask Bamber, who said MM was disappearing. Or ask people in Lewisham ?

Anyway you believe Julie was wrong to tell 5 people & then approach the police. Although it has been known for people to approach the police before.

You believe she should have dangerously sneeked around behind Bamber's back while he was whisking her around England & Amsterdam on his jolly ups.  Trying to find a way to get in contact with MM.

What was MM going to say to Julie 'yes Bamber paid me & I killed 5 people' ?

you would think she would at least ask had she done so he would of told her he dident.

you might think that before implicating somone in a murder she might like ask at least for there version of events.

I would have just gone to the police.

Rather than dangerously trying to locate a man Bamber had said was disappearing. Who she didn't know anyway. While Bamber was keeping a close eye on her & whisking her around England & Amsterdam.

Julie knew Bamber committed the crime. She wasn't stupid & said she knew Bamber didn't have the paltry £2,000 he said he paid MM.

You believe Julie should have searched for MM. Whether guilty or not he would just deny any involvement to her.

well if she had asked some of her friends she would of known he wasn't going anywhere.

Oh yes. The friends in Lewisham & Goldsmiths college who didn't know MM.

She could ring them up from Amsterdam.

it wouldn't of been hard to find out that Mathew MacDonald was not going away.

now you might think that on being a shocking story like that you might want to know a bit more.

on being told by Jeremy that Mathew MacDonald was the hitman why does she never think to ask MacDonald weather its true or not.

A she didn't know him
B who intheir right mind would ask a would be killer if they murdered 5 people?

I mustn't be in the right mind because if the offender was facing me,I'd ask,no problem, even if I did get a negative answer.

But did JB really tell JM that MM had done the killings OR did she make this up whilst trying to protect JB ?! Although not knowing MM personally JM knew of MM from the time when she lived at Bourtree.Cott as he was supplying JB with hemp seeds and heard the stories of MM being a mercenary.

Julie approached the police, made a 34 WS, then testified a year later. Which helped convict Bamber.

However made up MM to protect Bamber ?

I suppose if you go down that line of thinking he might have received a lesser sentence. But the whole thing would have unravelled (as it did) as soon as Matthew Macdonald was questioned, so it's an unlikely scenario in my opinion.

Ok, it was just a different scenario as I don't believe JM all of a sudden couldn't stand the lies JB was giving so gave a 34 page statement against JB. She loved JB and would do anything for him. For someone her age to offer to identify the twins bodies because JB couldn't makes me think she was a very hard person. I also still believe that JB murdered all of his family that night. JM making sure she was out of harms way that night by staying in London....she knew a lot more than she at first told police.

no he would of got exactly the same sentence paying somone else to do it doesn't in any  mitigate the crime in law.
