Ok, it was just a different scenario as I don't believe JM all of a sudden couldn't stand the lies JB was giving so gave a 34 page statement against JB. She loved JB and would do anything for him. For someone her age to offer to identify the twins bodies because JB couldn't makes me think she was a very hard person. I also still believe that JB murdered all of his family that night. JM making sure she was out of harms way that night by staying in London....she knew a lot more than she at first told police.
That's interesting Romeo. I know it was the holiday period but I wonder if there was an explanation as to why she was back at Caterham Road leaving Jeremy alone at Bourtree Cottage.

no he would of got exactly the same sentence paying somone else to do it doesn't in any  mitigate the crime in law.
You're probably right nugnug. This was mentioned by Stephanie the other day. I just wonder whether the conspiracy to murder charge might have attracted a lesser sentence, especially if he had confessed.

Exactly my thoughts Steve! I thought maybe if she was threatened with being charged herself she then came clean about JB up to a point...BUT... she didn't want him charged with murder!! So thinking if she said Jeremy told her MM had done the murders then JB would get a lesser sentence. Now Nug has pointed out that this isn't so...thanks Nug.

I still think she was a nasty piece of work at that time.

Yes and what would the Defence have said had Julie stayed the night at Bourtree Cottage? In fact Jeremy's plan wouldn't have worked because of the telephone call, but he would just have had to arrive at the Farm as if nothing untoward had happened the next day.

Would you like to support this claim with an official source?

I think she could of easly found macdonald and asked him.

Perhaps you'd like to tell us how, then, Nugs?

well if she had asked some of her friends she would of known he wasn't going anywhere.

What makes you think any of her uni friends knew MM? What makes you think any of her uni friends had been to any of those places MM was alleged to have frequented?

Since they had met previously and they also had mutual friends/acquaintances. She approaches them saying "do you know where Matthew is? I have something id like to ask him"

It appears so. Nugs not being able to come up with a workable answer.

That's because David has answered. It's known that JM was acquainted with MM having met him at Goldhanger,I think it was and no doubt nights on the town too.

Let me get this straight. She MET him........once, twice? How would that cause her to be "acquainted" with him? Can you provide evidence of "nights on the town" together with evidence that they singled each other out for conversation and/or exchanged names/addresses/phone numbers? Julie lived in London. In a house from which outgoing calls couldn't be made. She couldn't contact him. Did she meet with him each and every time she visited Jeremy? Did she meet with those who may have known him very time she visited Jeremy? I'd like to know how you define "acquainted".
