Re the dangling shower head, I wonder if Sheila washed her hair - before the murders. She'd apparently had a haircut which she didn't like, so she might have washed it to try and improve it? Was there a hairdryer or other hair styling tool in her room? Little details like that could be important.

At 5' 8 there'd have been no difficulty in knocking the shower head off its axle. Again,I think she left her hair to dry naturally which is why an officer said it was a " male " figure at the bedroom window

She was fitted with an IUD which reputedly can cause period pain. It's a pain which can be like no other -I'd sooner have experienced migraine- and there have certainly been times when the only relief has come via a hot water bottle.

That's really interesting Jane and is further evidence that she behaved responsibly, unlike her brother, who we know was promiscuous.

I think it's clear that nobody can say with any certainty how Sheila was, or wasn't affected by her cycle.
I do feel that the female of the species, is however, more likely to have a greater grasp of the potential effects than the likes of you and I.
