During her episode at Freddie's she was under medication. She was taking Anafranil 3x10mg a day. Dr Furgusen says he believes she was taking it. In mental hospitals they have problems with patients even when they are under sedation. The drugs are not 100% effective against psychotic episodes.

She may have been in possession of a prescription but she wasn't taking it. THIS was the reason for administering her meds by injection.

Nevill certainly couldn't control Sheila. Which is why he rang Bamber.

People having psychotic episodes can be impossible to reason with and uncontrollable, that's when the straight jacket may be necessary.

Do you think Sheila had her shower before or after reading the bible ?

So if they (Sheila and June) were both in agreements about he twins not being fostered, how could there have been a disarrangement? It is VERY relevant!

June told Dorothy Bencher that she was afraid that the children would be taken away from Sheila because of her behavior. If children are abused it's not the relatives that decide if they should be taken away, it's the authorities. During the conversation at the dinner table Sheila was delusional and took it as a direct threat. What is irrelevant is whether there was a real possibility that it would actually happen.

Maybe both but certainly after.

How do we know what, if any, delusion Sheila was under? Had June been speaking of Sheila's past behaviour -albeit the hospital and social workers involved with the children's care had ruled out abuse- or her behaviour at the time of the call?

Sheila had her shower after reading the bible.

Why do you think after her shower she changed into her nightie & then returned to the bible on the floor ?

Showerheads do sometimes break. Those who are a little parsimonious adapt. Are you suggesting that Sheila's 'rage' was such she might have taken a bite out of it?

Rather flailing about more than " taking a bite out of it "  ::) You wouldn't normally have suggested that ?

David I remember the shower head was left hanging and not placed back on the stand but I cannot remember it being broken.

I presume she was naked in the shower and afterwards donned the nightie. when someone is delusional there is no logic or rationality in their behavior, so I couldn't speculate as to her reasons.

Hi lebaleb very good point none of us know what Sheila was thinking or even if she was totally aware of what was around her. Poor Sheila.
