why were the police and proscution so insitant that jeremy got in via the bathroom window when he could of used a diffrent entrance.

he culd of got through the open upstairs window using a ladder so hy asnt this considred.

We have discussed that here before, although not in relation to getting in the house. It would be far too risky climbing in through a window in which your victims were sleeping, then having to go an get the rifle before re-entering the room to shoot them. I think had he done that, he'd have been discovered pretty quickly. He could have left that way though - making sure the house was all locked from the inside and out through the bedroom window.

I wonder if the " locking/securing of the inside " was done on a regular basis ? As one thing laughs at another if there were a couple of windows which had been easily accessible ?

The police themselves should have tried these methods instead of bashing the front door down making as much row as they possibly could. Why didn't they ?

I'd have thought it was in case the shadow in window, shot them as they got through the window.

Nugs you're idea is ridiculous again, and has been dismissed.

There is no way Bamber would get a ladder. Climb through a tiny window where two adults were. Then go downstairs to get a rifle.

It's the sort of thing a comic burglar wearing 'Swag' on his back would do.

Bamber didn't use a hacksaw blade on the night. He used it beforehand. The bathroom window may have been left ajar by him at supper anyway.

This idea is nearly as bad.

The police climbing through a tiny upstairs window. It would be a bit of problem if Sheila started shooting whoever got half way through the window.

They must have thought very strongly about that occurrence and not the " trick of the light " as was their preference.

I thought they were all dead in YOUR world  :o ,even the trick of the light appeared to have been a tree branch wafting in the moonlight-------------of which was at the back of the house at the time.  ::)

The raid team didn't have any worlds. They just wanted to do a professional job.

They may not have knocked down the kitchen door if Bamber told them about the bathroom window access.

correct caroline, ive asked mike before if he knew the distance from that open window to the ground cause i thought he might have locked up and jumped from that window, but having to perch outside the window ledge an push the window back up ,put me off that idea and he had an easier option the self locking window which could be banged from outside so the latch falls in place

Pity the" falling latch " wasn't an investigation on its own because JB wasn't the only one who had previously used that method of entry. Others knew too and had entered that way !
Was anyone else ever questioned about this mode of entry ? Not to my knowledge !
