SH was visited by his mother on 31st January 2014 and by a women named Heidi on the 9th February 2014.

Surely he told his mother and Heidi of his previous suicide attempts? Surely they asked him how he was feeling?

He wrote a letter to me dated 7th February 2014 which I received on 13th February 2014.

I have published the letter in full here: https://therealmrshspoofblog.wordpress.com/2016/06/21/simon-hall-letters/

SH refers to a telephone call (end of Sept 2013) to me and handing the phone to his personnel officer and prison records show an entry dated 30th November 2013 where SH has told a prison officer of his previous hanging attempt(s) prior to the paracetamol overdose on 30th November 2013.

According to prison records it also suggests SH made a third party (outside of prison) aware of his OD of 30th November 2013 in/around this time. I'm aware from public statements made https://therealmrshspoofblog.wordpress.com/2016/04/10/events-following-death-of-simon-hall/ that someone did contact SH's younger brother around this time period, apparently concerned about SH.

And what I don't understand is why someone would make themselves an interested party, put forward questions and statements to the Court - presumably out of concern? Then drop out at the last minute? What could be more important than learning how a loved one died?

I was made aware of a large amount of information prior to proceedings and how indeed some people may have 'gone to the police about me and given statements?' What I find interesting is that nothing has come of this and I'm keen to learn the motives of these individuals..

Prior to and following the death of SH I was subjected to a hideous amount of vitriol, harassment and abuse and from various individuals who appeared to be going out of their way to target me. Why was this I wonder? i have many unanswered questions as I'm sure other readers do and the fact it has been publicly suggested that the campaign to clear SH's name prior to confession had 'soap opera' qualities - or words to that effect needs further exploration... Especially in light of the fact (this week) erroneous comments continue to be being made about me which are offensive and require rebuttal...

Just recently I met up with a police officer who had been involved in the original murder investigation and matricide transference (displaced matricide) was mentioned. This has always been my opinion since the confession in July 2013.

"Sexual killing is the intentional killing of a person during which there is sexual by the perpetrator (before, during, after or throughout the act). In the recent century different terms were used in order to refer to sexual homicide: lust murder (Krafft?Ebing, 1886; Hazelwood, 2001), sadistic lust murder (De River, 1958), sadistic murder (Douglas et al, 1992), lust killing (Malmquist, 1996), sex murder (MacDonald, 1986), erotophonophilia (Money, 1990), sexual murder (Grubin, 1994), sexual homicide (Ressler, Burgess & Douglas, 1988).

"Offenders are mostly males under the age of 30 who victimize female strangers or casual acquaintances, usually of the same race. Sexual homicide perpetrators often exhibit an abnormal personality structure, including being chronically angry, pathologically narcissistic, abnormal bonding, impaired reality testing, and having a formal thought disorder. Most sexual homicide perpetrators are not psychotic and do not have a diagnosable psychotic disorder if evaluated, particularly in organized sexual homicides. Virtually all sexual homicide perpetrators evidence narcissistic and psychopathic personality traits. Fantasy appears to play a central role in sexual homicide, especially organized sexual homicide (Prentky et al. 1989). Sexual homicide perpetrators are often diagnosed with other paraphilias. There is no evidence of biological anomalies, but there are disparate findings that do suggest biological substrates that may contribute to sexually homicidal behaviour.
Offenders grow up in chaotic family environments and exhibit abnormal, usually antisocial behaviour in childhood and adolescence. A substantial minority experienced physical and sexual abuse.

"The Catathymic murderers, on the other hand, leave behind disorganized crime scenes and are usually diagnosed with a mood disorder and various personality disorders. They are hungry for attachment, only moderately psychopathic, and have a history of physical and/or sexual trauma. The catathymic process is highly symbolic, transference based and is likely to be a displaced matricide (Wertham 1941; Meloy 2000; Schlesinger 2004).

I've published large parts of a further letter written by SH prior to his death (Located under the 1st letter) but it's up to readers what they make of it's content. I know what my opinions and beliefs are and I've remained steadfast with these beliefs and opinions, though if other evidence were to come to light I would reconsider....

Note: A police investigation which took place following SH's confession resulted in no further action (NFA).

Excerpt from SH letter dated 17th October 2013;

"I spoke to Pauline and Karen on the phone. I asked them if people still believed I was innocent. I told them that I was innocent and that I confessed because I'd given up. I blamed it on drugs..
I wrote to Ray, Ian (B) and Phoebe because I thought those people would feed into my lies and want to support me. I would have written to Stef B too, but I lost the letter, or threw it away. I asked all 3 of them if they would like to visit me and bring someone with them. I was in 'desperate' mode and was reaching out to anyone I thought might believe me, so I could pretend to be innocent again. More lies, more disrespect and shame to add to my increasing list of wrong doings..."

Excerpt from SH letter following confession 2013;

"I've done nothing but hurt you. I know that comes from my childhood. Not wanting to hurt Lynne from a young age because of how she would pile on the guilt and feelings of shame. The usual "I've done this and gone without that for you and look how you've repaid me." The sad thing about that statement is that it carried on through my actions. You did sound like Lynne at times, but I know your tears weren't fake. You weren't saying things to make me feel guilty as she was. You were saying these things to me so I realised I was doing wrong. I see the difference, but I might not have explained it very well.

You love me. Lynne didn't. It's taken me so long to get to the point because of the covert incest. Who wants to believe that their 'family' don't actually love them? Especially someone with my rejection, abandonment and attachment issues."

That's interesting Stephanie. With reference to Jeremy Bamber he blamed his parents so much that "they had forfeited their right to live" for how they treated him. I don't see Sheila blaming anyone, however.

I blogged the same article re: blame shifting a few months ago which can apply to many individuals...

https://therealmrshspoofblog.wordpress.com/2016/04/17/playing-the-blame-game-as-a-manipulation-tactic/

I agree with you regarding Sheila and it's so sad she no longer has her own voice, though from what I've read to date in relation to the JB case there is no suggestion she was manipulative - unlike Jeremy Bamber.

Sheila was clearly seeking out help for her mental health condition and receiving treatment. Jeremy on the other hand suggests there is nothing wrong with him at all. No personality disorder, no signs of psychopathy.. No issues related to his adoption... I don't buy any of it for one second..
I have yet to see or read anything in relation to him showing any real signs of grief related to having lost (murdered) 5 family members (including 2 children).... He's had over 3 decades in which to do so...

https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=iFoUDD_yNbYC&pg=PA128&lpg=PA128&dq=displaced+matricide&source=bl&ots=s0z8IzOtSk&sig=8H_SS2QaeG21Phk2s71J0_R6UFM&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjC28qcubnNAhXLDsAKHWolA9QQ6AEIPDAF#v=onepage&q=displaced%20matricide&f=false

"Disorganized sexual homicide (see Table 2) may involve a catathymic process (Wertham, 1937). Catathymia has a long and distinguished history in forensic thought (Schlesinger, 1996), but is not well-known. It is a motivational pattern, not a diagnosis, in which “an underlying emotional conflict creates an enormous amount of psychological tension, which is released through the violent act” (p. 307). In its acute form, it may be sexualized, explosive, and homicidal, paralleling the term blitz attack used by the FBI to characterize disorganized sexual homicides (Ressler et al., 1988). Catathymia is highly symbolic, transference-based, and in disorganized sexual homicide, is likely to be a displaced matricide
(Revitch & Schlesinger, 1981). Observed sexual promiscuities of the mother when the perpetrator was a dependent and helpless boy may contribute to his maternal rage, especially when coupled with an emotionally absent father (Meloy, 1988, 1992; Schlesinger & Revitch, 1997).

"Sexual homicides create a great deal of fear because of their apparent random and motiveless nature. The sexual nature is not always immediately obvious; conventional evidence of a sexual crime may even be absent. Based on an extensive analysis of 36 cases Ressler et al (1988) conclude that the offenders were preoccupied with family and personal problems. The ineffective social environment extends to outside interveners; teachers, juvenile authorities, clinicians who evaluate troubled children. Two thirds of the perpetrators had a psychiatric assessment as a child or adolescent. Many people, including family, ignored the boy’s behaviour: they were non-intervening and non-protective and supported the development of cognitive distortions. Their thinking patterns contained negative attitudes and beliefs that provided justification for violent acts."

The thing is I wasn't the one who made any public statement to the media attempting to suggest SH was innocent following the confession.

I thought the behaviours of the instigators of this suggestion were unconscionable and only served to make the entire situation more complicated and distressing than it already was under the circumstances.

SH's older brother publicly stated on this forum the following on 17th July 2013 -

"‘Hate’ is a strong word which is over used commonly, a little bit like the word ‘Love’ actually. I think ‘Hate’ should be left to describe something or someone that deeply and emotionally you dislike. I don’t expect you to see the difference though, it’s ok.”

...........................................................
"Jeopardised Simon’s campaign on many occasion. I believe you also are the cause for several relationships to break down. You lie constantly and even hide important information about Simon from his family like him taking an overdose for one, secondly that he was then admitted to hospital. A sane person would have realised that some things are a little too far, regardless of the situation. You control Simon who is extremely vulnerable. You fail to show up to visits to punish him and you have alienated his entire family from him. Spread rumours about as many people as possible and then expect everyone to help you because you are a little short of cash. Sell your car maybe? Stop smoking? Get a job to help you finance things? Easier to hold your hand out isn’t it.”

https://therealmrshspoofblog.wordpress.com/2016/03/27/the-burglary-omission-smear-campaign-hindsight/

Pure projection and the irony is unpalatable..
