'Crimes that shook Britain' revisited :
« on: February 21, 2016, 10:04:AM »
It starts with Miller saying Bamber 'apparently' got a call from Neville.

Andrew Hunter, who is still the CT's most prized asset although he rarely gets involved, makes the first of several appearances.

It says it quickly became a siege situation at WHF. And that Sheila may have killed everyone in cold blood.

A few hours prior to the massacre, Sheila had been out with June and the boys. She had also been to see Bamber on the farm and had supper with everyone.

The press had already arrived at WHF when Miller arrived. The press quickly decided it was murder/suicide for their papers.

Only 12 hours after entrance, Jeremy agreed that the carpets should be removed.

The programme said Bamber liked to be a 'man about town in Colchester'. Who doesn't ?

AE was described as a Miss Marple character. The relatives were surprised the silencer was not on the rifle. Miller saying there was blood on the silencer but not on the rifle. The blood being Sheila's.

Hunter said about the silencer 'yes there it was', but preferred to focus on Julie.

Alleged new evidence:

Movement inside WHF:

The programme shows Bamber as being the person who saw the 'trick of the light' movement.

Conversations with Sheila:

As everyone knows, this attempt was met with no response. Although the OS still claim it.

Two bodies in the kitchen:

This is easily explained. And would have been rectified seconds later when the raid team entered WHF.

Three bodies upstairs:

The police would have recorded one, two, three, and four bodies upstairs. As they discovered them. Sheila was behind the bed on the far side of the main bedroom. So probably discovered last.

Kitchen to bedroom movement by Sheila :

The raid team would have surely checked for signs of life with Sheila in the kitchen. And the two ambulances on the scene would have been alerted if Sheila was alive.

If all the raid team had gone past Sheila before she got up, most of the raid team would be upstairs before Sheila did. So unlikely she would have got to the far side of the main bedroom without being seen.

Blood running down Sheila's neck:

There is a thread on this. There is no evidence it was wet blood.

Silencer found date:

Not relevant if there is confusion about the date it was found. It's what is inside which is important.

Police not finding the silencer:

They were not looking for one.

Rifle was not too long for Sheila:

Videos do back this up. Maybe Sheila could not shoot herself in the location she did.

If Sheila could shoot herself. Then it means she shot herself once, then put the silencer away. The blood lines show she did not do this.

Scratches on the wall:

It is correct that the crime scene photos do not show the scratches. However that is simply due to how the pictures were taken.

Incorrect hitman story:

Recent threads have shown why Bamber would introduce MM.  And why Julie or the police would not.

Neville's call to the police:

Both Neville and Bamber choosing not to dial 999, and then both choosing to phone the exact same forth furthest away police station is a non starter.

Unreleased documents being held under PPI

The programme says by law these documents will never be released. So I don't know why there are campaigns for it to be released. Anyway there is now total confusion amongst supporters and guilters about whether everything has been released.

People both on and off the form, have said they took an interest in the case after watching this programme. Becoming passionate supporters. Some are still passionate supporters.

It is correct that anyone watching the video may assume at first that everyone else got it wrong, and/or a frame took place.  And that Bamber was innocent. However after quick and basic further investigation, the 13 claims become null and void.

I prefer the 'Killing mum and dad' & 'Countdown to murder' documentaries.

Both of these took the stance that he was guilty. Which is what the law and courts have said for 30 years. With people involved at the time just commenting on the facts which convicted him.

The CTSB documentary just wheeled out Hunter and made wild allegations about Bamber maybe being innocent. Probably after reading his Official Site.

Bamber would have been jumping for joy when he saw the CTSB documentary. But he was not so happy when he saw the 'Killing Mum and Dad' documentary and made an unsuccessful complaint.

TCTSB documentary is also quite damaging. As it can persuade uninformed people on the case.

The man on Trudie Benjamin's last video also said he took an interest in the case after watching CTSB, and is a supporter and part of the campaign team. So has obviously not read up on the case correctly.

I suppose everyone has a right to form an opinion. However it shouldn't be formed partly on sensationalist and unproven allegations in a documentary.

Here is another person who became a passionate supporter after watching CTSB. Did Poppy ever post on here ? It did used to be a pro Bamber forum.

The first ever episode of CTSB was 2008. When the internet and Youtube were up and running. So easy for people to research the Bamber case if not inclined to buy books.

So it is a surprise that people became supporters on the basis of this documentary. Surely people didn't just accept all of CTSB's allegations claiming Bamber was innocent. If they were all true Bamber would be free and suing the police for millions.

I suspect the CTSB was screened at a reasonable hour, and watched by millions. Giving Bamber a boost. By the law of averages, he will gain some new supporters.

I suppose it also depends on what sort of research you do. Both xxxxx and xxxxxxxx joined a pro Bamber forum, and/or wrote to Bamber. Poppy may have just read the OS and joined the campaign team.

Hope susan doesn't mind me answering for her but I am pretty sure she has never written to Jeremy Bamber, you shouldn't make assumptions Adam.

The CTSB can still be influential. As it's available on Youtube.

However it is now in amongst lots of other pro or anti Bamber videos. Both official and unofficial. It's doubtful someone will seek out just this video on the case, and ignore the others.

The 'Killing Mum and Dad' video would not have been so influential when released in the 2005. It was just confirming his guilt.

Hopefully there won't be any more reckless and inaccurate  TV programmes aired to millions of people on prime time TV. There are already enough poor mini Youtube videos from the CT.

It created a lot of current supporters and former supporters who spent years supporting Bamber.

The problem is if the police make a complaint it just creates publicity for the case.

We don't live in a police state yet Adam, we still have reasonable freedom of speech and media thank goodness.
Interesting how you continually quote your favourite reckless, inaccurate and rubbishy tv programme proving guilt but don't believe anyone supporting JBs innocence  is entitled to similar airtime?

good post.  Adam seems to get it wrong i.e. saying I write to JB posting that I said Sheila shared a bed with her parents he knows what he is doing stirring the pot.

You need to be less concerned about forum members and more concerned about the case. This post  and another that you posted last night is goading. Most people who come here are honest in their opinions, you were not and you remain UNINFORMED about the case - choosing to write lists of drivel, whilst in your own mind, you believe you are Scipio II - I am sure Scip won't be flattered.  ::)

Scipio mark 2 ? A boy can dream can't he ?

I'm just revisiting another documentary which has been discussed before. Just as I revisited 'Slaughter at the farm' in January. A thread you contributed to.

It's no secret people watched CTSB and then became long term passionate Bamber supporters. Posters have said so on both this forum, and CT members said this on Trudie Benjamin's last two videos.

So it will be good to know what people thought when first seeing CTSB.  Or think about it now.

It didn't do much for me when first seeing it. As I was also watching every pro and anti Bamber Youtube video and reading about the case. So the 13 massive allegations didn't convince me.
