Scipio mark 2 ? A boy can dream can't he ?

I'm just revisiting another documentary which has been discussed before. Just as I revisited 'Slaughter at the farm' in January. A thread you contributed to.

It's no secret people watched CTSB and then became long term passionate Bamber supporters. Posters have said so on both this forum, and CT members said this on Trudie Benjamin's last two videos.

So it will be good to know what people thought when first seeing CTSB.  Or think about it now.

It didn't do much for me when first seeing it. As I was also watching every pro and anti Bamber Youtube video and reading about the case. So the 13 massive allegations didn't convince me.

Any yet you had no clue one way or another?

Hello everyone.

This is a fasinating case which I have taken an interest in during the last month. This seems like the busiest forum so am looking forward to some good non abusive discussion. At present I have an open mind & lots of questions. Am ready to be persuaded one way or the other.

Yes I did give a fluffy intro. At the time it was a pro Bamber forum. So had to tread carefully.  For the first couple of minutes anyway.

It must have been about three months of reading prior to joining. As I had also read Wilkes's book.

OK and now you believe you're an expert?

Well I know about the case. As all posters do.

What's you're view of the CTSB documentary ?

It's a good documentary - it gives a good over view and lays out the case for a possible MOJ. It's up to the viewer to research and decide for themselves.

I thought it was an irresponsible documentary.

The 13 huge allegations accuse,  directly or indirectly the police, Julie and the relatives of lying and changing evidence to get Bamber convicted. All the allegations are easily dismissed, so why make them ?

Bamber and the CT can make these allegations. Just as other convicted criminals who protest their innocence will make allegations. But for a supposed independent documentary to do so is wrong.

Julie, the relatives or the police could have sued. But life's too short. Bamber complained about the 'Killing mum and dad' documentary. As DB said, Bamber has nothing better to do.

No it's not wrong at all - the documentary didn't accuse anyone - they simply informed of Bambers  claims. It is Bamber who is accusing, not the documentary.

'Strangely, the next day the Crime and Investigation Network showed a re-run of the "Crimes that Shook Britain" documentary - which I watched, and recorded, and watched again.......and again!  After seeing it, it didn't take me long to pluck up the courage to write to Jeremy and offer my support.  I didn't expect a response - but was surprised just a few days later to receive a cheery letter back, and there started a friendship that has grown and grown'.

Here is another person who was influenced by the documentary, Melanie Brook.

It seems that Melanie Brook just watched CTSB 'again and again' and then wrote to Bamber.

She should have investigated the CTSB allegations, as if all or a couple were correct, Bamber would be free. And rich. So why wasn't he ?

It's never too late to investigate.

Why is that 'strange'? The CI channel always repeats the previous days programmes.

Ask Melanie Brook. It's her quote.

Melanie wrote her article in 2014, so doubtful she joined this forum as it was becoming less of a pro Bamber forum at this time.

It is doubtful any of the CT will post on here now. It would be too time consuming defending Bamber,  and deflect from campaign work. But if Melanie or anyone else is posting from the CT, feel free to enlighten me.

Matt from the CT said he first saw CTSB three years ago. But again it does not seem like he joined this forum. Although it was still a pro Bamber forum then. Matt just seems to have gone straight to become a CT member, as did Poppy after watching CTSB.

Matt says a lot of people were influenced by CTSB. He is right. Two other current posters joined this forum as supporters,  when it was a pro Bamber forum, after watching CTSB. One of them also writing to Bamber. Neither joined the CT, and became guilters after I joined.

If anyone else was influenced by CTSB, it would be interesting to find out.

Poppy also became a supporter after watching this video. And still is. A pity the whole article cannot be seen.  It's a recent article and she may have something new to say.
