Rivlin continued helping JB after the trial. Doesn't sound like someone who would run with hare and hunt with the hounds.

Was there any truth in the journo's offering £50 a pop to witnesses for their statements ?

It's not Rivlin telling the newspaper its journalists at the trial quoting what he said to the jury

 ??? ??? ??? ??? I didn't say it was.

Trusted Julie enough to tell her about the caravan park burglary? SHE was there with him.

That's right.

He trusted her enough to involve her in the caravan break in. No doubt spending some of the money with Julie which may have impressed an impressionable 20 year old.

Bamber then decided to involve her from afar in the massacre. Ringing her up at 3am and then whisking her over the WHF. Probably expecting her to be impressed with the nice food and partying he would indulge her with.

However Julie wasn't too impressed when she heard him ask another woman out, was she ?

Just a minute Adam! You just said he trusted her enough to tell her. Now you are saying he trusted her enough to involve her.
Which is it?

No unfortunately.  There is no complete transcript prepared of a trial.  Transcripts are prepared from tape recordings or stenographers' notes and only specific sections are prepared when requested for the purpose of an appeal.

I'm not sure what the thread is trying to say.

Rivlin is saying what Julie knew, she could have been told. He also said in court, that what she knew , she could have read in the newspapers.

What else is Bamber's defence lawyer going to say to her ?

he you try to imply he was lying.

No matter what Adam thinks Julie was far from pure as driven snow.
She was involved with cheque book fraud, she was involved in the caravan site burglary, and was involved with bringing in drugs for her mates.
She was no angel, and had a lot of charges dropped for her testimony against Jeremy.
Often wondered why she had to skidaddle to Canada to teach. Was it because she was unemployable in this country?
Maybe some of her pupils would have found her NOW photo's.

Today she would have been charged as an accessary for murder. She had it in her power to stop the murders if she was being truthful.
Remember it wasn't her that went to the police in the first place. Tjhen had the gall to say that the twins weren't that bad, and only wanted a fag after identifying them. Cold in my opinion, but still said NOTHING to Ann.

I cannot comprehend your explanation of how an ordinary 20 year old girl thinks.  Why would she be 'impressed' by a boyfriend who stole from his family, surely most young women would find that frightening and unattractive?
She was a person of free choice, of average or above intelligence because she was able to gain good enough A level's to be accepted at Goldsmith's as a trainee teacher and then achieved good enough exam results to be accepted to stay on an extra year to gain her B Ed degree.
On one hand you like to claim she was Brain of Britain and on the other that she was easily impressed, naive and vulnerable.
It seems to just depend which suits your story of the moment and doesn't really prove anything.  :-\
Imo, Julie Mugford was pretty ruthless by nature and always looked after herself first.

It was the asking out of another woman that drove her, nothing more, nothing less.
IMO jm was up to her neck in it.
What I find strange is Jeremy has to my knowledge never questioned this.
Is it because if he implicated JM he would implicate himself?

JM states:

'He also said that he would have to kill Sheila and the twins as well. I asked him why as I could understand him talking about his parents like that but not about Sheila and the twins.'

She could understand him planning to kill his parents!
