Questions about the bible :

So, according to the Bible, suicide is a sin. It is not the “greatest” sin—it is no worse than other evils, in terms of how God sees it, and it does not determine a person's eternal destiny. However, suicide definitely has a deep and lasting impact on those left behind. The painful scars left by a suicide do not heal easily. May God grant His grace to each one who is facing trials today (Psalm 67:1).

The solution to despair and hopelessness is not suicide, but faith in God.

We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD, even as we put our hopeing you (Psalms 33:20-22).

The Bible views suicide as equal to murder, which is what it is—self-murder. God is the only one who is to decide when and how a person should die. We should say with the psalmist, “My times are in your hands” (Psalm 31:15).

There can be no doubt that the act of killing oneself is a sin, in light of theSixth Commandment. God says, “You shall not murder” (Exodus 20:13), and suicide is murdering oneself.


If this is what the bible is saying about suicide, then it must take an even bigger stance against taking another persons life/murder.

If Sheila had breached the philosophy of the bible so badly, why then use it ?

It seems surprising that Sheila would read the bible, considering the bible does not believe in suicide.

It is also surprising that if Sheila was reading the bible, she did not use the bible to help her out of any difficult times. As the  bible says a person should do. Rather than commit multiple murder.

I have had a quick search for the verses David mentioned on page 1. To see if they relate to murder or suicide. But have not found anything.

Obviously if there is nothing in the bible supporting why an alleged bible reading Sheila would use it after the massacre, and before her suicide,  then Bamber is guilty.

Of course it shows Bamber's certain guilt.

There is no evidence she read the bible.

However there is evidence above that the bible believes murder and suicide is a sin, and is going against the religions faith. So if she read it, she would not commit murder/suicide in the first place. And certainly not read it during the massacre.

There is also no evidence that people read the pages the bible was open at, after murder or prior to suicide.

The only two options are -

The bible fell next to Sheila. She picked it up with bloodied hands, opened it and put it on top of her own blood.

The bible doesn't say thy shall not commit suicide.

In which case, it was likely to have opened randomly OR not opened at all. There's no way that Sheila could throw anything in anger -or any other way- after she was dead. She would have had to have killed June before she killed herself. Why would one of the police at the scene have thrown down the bible in anger. Is there any one else you can think of who could have?

So even though we face challenges, always seek out light and truth. Don't stray and consider dark things such as suicide. It is not in God's will. Treat your body as a temple!
