Here is the FINGERPRINT FORM, dated, 9th AUGUST 1985, showing that a SILENCER,, and the rifle, ammunition magazine and cartridge cases, were fingerprinted by DS Davidson - So, here is the proof that Essex police DID HAVE A SILENCER in their possession before the relatives found the other one on the 10th August 1985, which they retained until evening of the 12th August 1985, at which time Peter Eaton handed it over to DS Jones...
Receipt number 5620, was received at the fingerprint department on the 9th August 1985, including, THE SILENCER, which DS Davidson did fingerprint on that date. It now seems highly likely that once the SILENCER was fingerprinted on the 9th August 1985, that police disposed of it back into the gun cupboard in the downstairs office, where it could have been found again by the relatives...
Blood found on it and inside it, got there through mishandling and innocent or accidental contamination in the process of removal, examination, fingerprinting and return to the scene on evening of 9th August 1985, when police gave keys back to the family....
