Why would Fielding be prepared to testify ?

He had nothing to gain, and everything to lose. Perhaps he had taped the conversation.

Who knows but why did the Sun lie anyway and they did, they lied on their front page about other things, one being the grotesque distortion and lies about Hillsborough, you cannot deny that even though you choose to ignore it.  You are entitled to your own opinion but surely you have a more valid argument than repeating the Sun wouldn't have lied.  Whether they did or didn't lie they were certainly capable of doing so about anything no matter how cruel and vindictive it may have been..... Why?  I don't know maybe because it sold more papers, sometimes to cover for the police.....  whatever suited them.....

Printing a front page story. Risking libel action from a soon to be rich man. Bamber could have gone after Fielding or The Sun newspaper. Or both. Whichever had the best returns.

Agreeing to testify knowing he would be cross examined. It could be his word against Bamber's. Unless Fielding had a tape recording.  A 'not guilty' verdict would reflect badly on The Sun and Fielding. Bamber would no doubt sue upon acquittal. 

Repeating the same lies, for Claire Powell's book and the documentary.

  Colin does not back it up Mat because he can't. He wasn't at the meeting with Fielder. He attributes the same words to Jeremy that Fielder does in his article. We have now established that Fielder is a proven liar. Previously you have claimed that Fielder cannot be tarred with the same brush as other low rent hacks because he hadn't been shown to be dishonest or a liar. That position is no longer tenable as Fielder is now known to be a sleazy lying hack.
    It is much easier to believe that a known liar, and falsifier of evidence on behalf of the authorities, who works for a publication with a sorry catalogue of proven criminal collusion with police officers knowingly lied and falsified statements colluded with EP to smear their suspect. It's their MO. Read the first post and research it a bit more for yourself.
    It is idiotic to believe that Bamber would attempt to sell nude/pornographic pictures to one of the papers that was already running negative stories on him.
    He has claimed that the meeting was to put his side of the story because of the negative press he was receiving. It is just beyond belief that he would attempt to sell the pictures to a newspaper that was already trashing him.

The Sun is saying Brett Collins contacted them. Collins had contacts with The Sun.

It is true that Brett was hanging around Jeremy at the time. And attended the meeting with Fielder.

If The Sun or Brett establishes that Jeremy/Brett made the first contact, then that's it. There would be only one reason why Jeremy/Brett would make the first move and request a meeting. Who needs a tape recorder ?

Brett disappeared as quickly as he arrived after Jeremy got arrested. He wouldn't lie for Jeremy. What a pity he is not about, so many questions for him.

well if thse tapes existed they would of been major evedence and should of been heard by a jury as the appeal court touched on the subject of the photos they could of mentioned this to the cps at appeal but they dident they have had 30 to realse such tapes and stop the appeal in its tracks funny they havent.
