I had a woman from the Labour party knock the other day,and she was busy telling me all that they planned to do and rattled off a " shopping list "of what they were going to do,so I asked her why these things have to wait for an election before they're implemented. Off she scuttled, ignorant pig.
Then it was time, the other day,for a Conservative candidate ( good job it wasn't Esther McVey as I can't stand her ) so I asked him the same question, why wait for a general election before you wake up to see what's happening to the country, etc etc. Hadn't got time to explain,so off he went.
These guys don't like confrontation. Then I insulted him and said I wasn't going to vote for a bunch of overgrown public school boys, not even UKIP because he was a banker ( at least I think I've got that right ) So---------------there's nobody else left since the Raving Loony Party got disbanded. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hello  lookout shame the raving looney party no longer exists they would have been ideal for you  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D (you know I am kidding) NOT hahahaha

I would have voted for them Susan, because ALL the other lot are completely out of touch and you only see local candidates when there's a general election. They're not interested in the interests of the public, only when they want to get a seat in Parliament, for their own ends ( excuse the pun )

Don't normally discuss politics  :) However as we are all being so honest - As a small business owner the conservatives have helped us a lot with various tax reliefs and grants which has enabled us to employ 3 new people in the last 12 months. I sway between Liberal and conservative - my family were all Labour voters so I am not some upper class toff!

Having tried to help my uncle and auntie coming out of hospital I can see the NHS can be excellent and bad at the same time and bed blocking is real - but Cameron is trying to help this . The help is out there to try and help people back into their homes and stay there - but the communication between the NHS and Social services in my experience is appalling and the forms to get help  :o  I could not complete them let alone my relatives.

One thing I think is good is young people do seem to be interested and voting -we have had some interesting discussions at work .

Question time was interesting - Milliband seems so far away from a labour leader that my parents would expect -  all he says is me /myself and I - I found him patronising to the questioners  IMO ;D

BTW - Boris was a very good MP for Henley and was very helpful on a personal level to many people.

My Grandad has been let down terribly this year with lack of beds available - he needed very serious surgery and the operation was cancelled twice due to lack of bed, one the second occasion he was taken into hospital for his operation only to be sent home the next day because they didn't have an intensive care bed free, which he would need to wake up in. So I've seen first hand that the NHS needs some serious help - I wrote to our local MP and they passed the letter onto the PM who actually replied via hand written letter with his hopes and promises for the future of the NHS, came across very believable.

So my vote will be for the conservatives.

I think sometimes it is easy to blame everything that goes wrong on the "cuts" but in my experience it is not always the case. And I agreed with the woman on Question time who said there was no joke about the note left in the treasury - and for Milliband to say he did not think they had overspent - I was shocked - if you make a mistake - hold your hands up and admit it. The British people have more intelligence than he credits them with.

My uncle only went in for a couple of nights respite because his wife was in hospital as well - he ended up being in for 8 weeks ( bed blocking) as they could not get help organised at home . When he did get it then they have been coping quite well . But I was as one point given 5 different contacts to try and get it sorted and the departments did not seem to be talking to each other.

And I would say if you need help when they get home then Age UK have been great - in fact Social services said don't even bother to fill in attendance allowance forms as they are too complicated - get Age UK to do it.
Also as soon as I put my worries in writing people soon jumped in to help - including their GP  :)

My relatives have become quite dependant on me - in fact the other day they called us because a new telly we had got them was not working - they had tried all the leads etc and plugs. So we drove 45 mins to be there to find my uncle asleep - my auntie, who suffers I think from Dementia said "the TV is broke" - I said "I know you called us that's why we are here".

We walked in - my uncle was asleep and the TV was on and blaring out . It had come back on and my auntie had not heard it because she is deaf. It was an aerial problem  :(

then I got told off because I had asked my aunties doctor about a memory test result - my auntie said I should not interfere- but she had told me she had had a memory test so I was checking the result - Now she says she has never had a memory test . I am not sure who is more confused - her or me?  :-[

Snap Patti, that's where my votes went. My 18 year old daughter is the candidate in the local elections for the Greens so I had to vote Green in the locals. Although the Labour party has betrayed many of the values that they should stand for, it is too bad to contemplate the Tories getting another 5 years to finish wrecking public services, especially the NHS.
I voted to get rid of the tories.

I voted for the cruel and unjust bedroom tax to end so those that are on benefits will get there proper payments they deserve David.  It does not affect me, but it is forcing people out of their family homes and its unjust and unfair.

I also voted Labour because they will cut the tuition fees and abolish zero contract hours.

I hope they can balance the books... ;D ;D ;D ;D

No we have seen enough of Cameron although I do like him...Its time for change eh?

Its a bit different this time round because if Cameron does not get the votes he can still be in number 10.  :-\
