June or Jeremy. Who would you choose for assistance ?
« on: April 24, 2015, 08:49:PM »
June:

Advantages:

She was already there.

She was an adult. Probably as physically strong as Sheila.

She was Sheila's mother. Even if Sheila didn't like her, she may have listened to her mother. Especially if June is agreeing with Neville.

June would have had a good idea about Sheila's illness. The medical bills were costing enough.

Getting June for assistance also protects June. Which is better than leaving her asleep and defenceless.

June can protect the twins while Neville rings Jeremy.

June will want to help resolve the situation. She was a mother, wife and grandmother and joint head of the household. Her attachment and love to people inside WHF was stronger than Jeremy's.

It was easy to wake June. A lot easier than relying on a phone call.

June may have woken anyway.

Jeremy

Advantages:

Any suggestions ?

Advantages:

1) We cannot be sure where Nevill and Sheila were when all this started, perhaps they were downstairs and the phone was closer than June who was in bed upstairs.

2) If Nevill phoned Jeremy, things couldn´t have gotten all out of hand - yet. Nevill was hoping to keep June out of it entirely because he knew how much Sheila´s problems upset her, on the other hand, he could see that Sheila was working herself up and she was holding that gun. Better get Jeremy.

;D Happy to help, even though I know that the only reason you ask is because you are bored and will have some fun trying to contradict what whoever might answer your "advantages" question.

I am.

Both in practical terms, and in who would have the best chance of calming Sheila down.

Best not invite Sheila over to stay if her problems upset June.

Why would things not get out of hand if Neville phoned Jeremy ? He didn't like Sheila or Neville. He was sleeping 'like a log' three miles away.

People say June was a light sleeper and would have heard Jeremy enter WHF. So why didn't she wake during all the commotion between Neville and Sheila ?

Adam had Sheila needed calming down I guess Ralph would have been the best as she seemed close to him and loved him.  Had Ralph needed assistance in the event the whole family were about to be shot he would have phoned the police.

In the event that the whole family were about to get shot Neville would have physically confronted Sheila and risked injury to himself. It's what a father/husband/grandfather would do.

Adam  I agree with you but I am of the opinion Ralph did not get chance to confront his attacker as he was injured with gun shot wounds.  It would appear Ralph was fleeing downstairs wonder if he was going to try and arm himself with a weapon.

Morning Susan,I think it was Neville who'd " clipped " Sheila in the neck with that first bullet, while they were both in the kitchen. It would have been done while he was sitting, injured,in his chair for the bullet to have gone in the direction of Sheila's neck if she'd have had her head tilted sideways.
I've always maintained that at least the first shot wasn't self-inflicted,though there's every possibility that the second one was, once she gained enough strength to get upstairs from the kitchen to the bedroom.
The reason that I believe Sheila went upstairs was that EP on seeing two bodies on entry, failed to say two " dead " bodies,as Sheila could well have been alive at that point.Neither body was examined when police had entered, and because the police weren't familiar with the lay-out of the farmhouse they wouldn't have known about the stairs which led up into the bedrooms.

I'm sure we'll get to know in due course of how everything panned out.

Hello lookout  I must admit the two bullets to Sheila's neck has puzzled me and also what she was doing in the bedroom with June it seems a strange place for her to either shoot herself or somebody else to have shot her. Also why was Sheila so clean when I joined the forum at first I always thought she looked like she had just washed her hair if this was the case where did her soiled clothes go were they in the two buckets we will never know the whole case seems such a shambles and as Alias has said previously too many unanswered questions.

Hi Susan, indeed there are far too many unanswered questions for this conviction to be a safe one,and Jeremy should never have gone to jail on the say-so of a handful of people who'd hated his guts, because that was about the strength of it,as there was no evidence, forensic or otherwise. JM knows this, believe you me,as does the officer who was present at the scene.

lookout if Julie knew Jeremy's intentions to murder his entire family why did she not warn Ralph and save the lives of these innocent people.  I don't think she did know When he phoned her and said something wrong at the farm why did she tell him to go back to bed as that is what she was going to do.  None of this rings true with me.
