My mother used to fry it and makes sandwiches from it with tomato ketchup on it.  Thinking about it makes me feel sick....I never eat anything out of a tin except cirio tomatoes and if they aren't Italian I wont buy em.  Everything has to be made from scratch even jerk sauce  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Yeah I'm not a big fan of tinned stuff either. I don't think I've actually ever had spam, just really doesn't appeal to me.  :-\

I like canned things. Must be because it reminds me of my childhood in Iceland. Believe it or not, some of the Christmas food was traditionally a cousin of Spam, JAKA BOV! Not anymore though.
Made the same place as the Spam I can buy here. It is basically the same, Jaka Bov is just five times bigger. I never buy it in Denmark, I would be too ashamed.  8)

Five times bigger....

I have to add that I always, and I mean always make very healthy food from scratch when I am at home.

Do you eat red meat Alias?

Not much, but my husband likes it, so we have it sometimes. If I eat it, it is very little - lots of veggies and a tiny bit of meat.
Why do you ask?

Just being nosey hahaha

I used to eat red meat but not had any since the horse scare and wont cook it for others either. My son says I'm paranoid about food especially when I eat out...I suppose he is right. I tend to eat more healthier these days. Can't have sweet stuff because I am diabetic.  So if you can share any healthy recipes, I'd be grateful.... ;D ;D ;D ;D

Sorry about your diabetes!  :-[ I will share some when I get home - easy and healthy! We can start a recipe thread. Good night, have to grab some sleep and dream about Spam.

The Spam isle. I always buy Spam when I am in England - which is really silly! It is made in Denmark, but we can´t buy it there. I love Spam - does that make me a bad person?  :P

My beloved M ADORED Spam, in any way, shape or form. Despite having become extremely wealthy, his childhood was impoverished. Spam was a rare treat on those days when there were a few pennies to spare.

Back home, but I will probably be going back soon.

Have to tell you about a cab driver I drove with. He was about 50 - 60, hard to tell, an "Onslow light type" if I have to describe him.
He was curious about where I liked to go on holiday, so we talked about different countries. He said his Mrs. liked to go to Turkey, so they had been there a few times, but he would not go there anymore. No Muslim countries for him, which I can´t really blame him for as the world is looking at the moment.
Anyway, he said that the Turks were friendly enough people, but he didn´t like that the men had been "checking out" his little blond granddaughters, and then he said: they also checked me out - they checked me out more than my Mrs.
After a little pause he said: I must have a good bum, know what I mean?
I almost cracked up sitting there in the cab.  ;D

I didn´t see his bum, he was sitting on it! What I saw of him wasn´t that great - Onslow!!! HAHAHA
It was hilarious, not scary at all, he was a nice, funny man. I love the chats you sometimes have with taxi drivers. In this case there was a loudspeaker, because it was a large taxi, so I got the: "I must have a good bum" really loud!

Hahahaha I realised it was a silly question after I had posted it...I knew you would say he was sitting on it, but thought, he might have been a gentleman and opened the door for you when you got out.

Sounds like you had a fab time and looking forward to your next trip.  ;D ;D ;D ;D
