The programme showed shots of a few locations in the house  i haven't seen (eg stairs, sheila's room etc). Any chance of some screen grabs?

I did not see the programme but can I ask who supposedly set up JB?

They stopped short of actually accusing anyone of that but for anyone who follows the case, the implications were there.

All the things that have been discussed on here by Mike were there in the programme - the issue of there being more than one silencer, the figure at the window, the issue of the police talking to someone who was in the farm, the two bodies in the kitchen and further three upstairs becoming one downstairs and four upstairs, the alleged phone call from Nevill to the police, etc.

I recognised several documents which have been posted on here, although there was one which I don't recall seeing. It related to the figure at the window but it was not on for long enough to get a good look at it.

It did show some but for the reconstructions they used a rather posh set which didn't really reflect how the house looked.  ;D

There was one bit which confused me. In the programme they portrayed Sheila as having a rather noisy argument with her parents about the children and storming out of the house. I haven't seen anything about that. I got the impression that she was rather disinterested in the suggestion that the children should be fostered. All the accounts I've seen suggest that she was very quiet and rather vague.

I've read that Sheila was withdrawn, vacant and blank, Kaldin, which could be an extreme reaction to the suggestion rather than disinterest. It sounded to me like the withdrawal symptoms of depression.

A friend of mine with psychological problems becomes withdrawn like that for a time before either engaging in highly bizarre conduct , like removing her shoes and socks to 'paddle' in snow while announcing how lovely and warm it is, or before flying into uncontrollable rages.

Yes, that's what I've read too, and yet in the programme they portrayed her as very angry and shouting a lot.

They showed the Boutflours supposedly finding the silencer/s and mauling it about with their contaminated greasy hands and then the next shot showed the police fingerprinting it.  ;D Anyone can see for themselves that it should never had been entered as evidence since it had been by then contaminated by goodness knows how many people. What with one of the relatives supposedly scraping off a flake of blood because it fascinated him. ;D Well how much more mickey mouse could this investigation become? :o

Didn't they use a silencer for their arguments? It's a wonder nobody heard them? Especially if they had their windows open? ;D

Yes, you're right. Also the actors playing June and Nevill didn't look remotely like them.
It's a pity that there weren't many people who were there at the time participating.

I'm glad they made Julie Mugford look like a witch.

I watched it (crime investigation Network is my favourite channel)

Dont think any new evidence was heard that hasnt already been mentioned on here though!

What did stand out for me was the vileness of Bob Miller, he didnt seem interested in truth or justice! just got the impression that a conviction of a man for 5 murders gave his career one hell of a boost! some of his comments made me cringe!

She was very angry and disturbed at times, according to witnesses. How did the programme depict Sheila between bouts of anger?

With regard to Sheila I did read in the innocent man manuscript  that around the time of the murders maybe the day before an electric meter man let himself in as he normally did to read the meter was confronted by Sheila who went  mad and frightened the life out of him.

Grahame I love you for the witch comment I would love to meet the man who cast her. Genious!

I wasn't too happy with the reporter because most of the articles I have read reporters in court didn't think there was enough evidence for JB to be found guilty.

As for Bob Miller if there was one person who could help JB get an appeal it would be him and what a wonderful interpretation of Essex Police I hope JB has got thousands of more followers because bob the builder.  I really hope the ccrc watched that programme because if that is an example of our police force god help us
