You're obviously not a woman, Dr Pal. It's well documented that some women have a near total personality change under the influence of those hormones. I believe that PMT might have been allowed as a mitigating factor in one or more murder cases, where the woman was the killer: and with good reason.

Id just like to point out that the condition is PRE mestrual syndrome and means exactly that.Once a woman actually gets her period,the symptoms tend to subside.So even though Sheila was menstruating at the time of the murders,her PMT (that would have came BEFORE) she got her period,wouldnt have been a factor.

Though I should add that I refuse to take any medication such as anti-depressants for this. If I did, that might relieve it it I suppose, but the price of continuously being on anti-depressants is one I'm not prepared to pay.

I agree regarding the physical symptoms,but if on medication(as Mike says Sheila was),the psychological symptoms would have been relieved.Obviously I suffer badly with it or else I wouldnt have been been prescribed the anti-depressants to "chill me". I think that it is awful enough that people rip Sheila apart regarding her paranoid schizophrenia without heaping more insult on her memory.You know,she really may be innocent. Well in my eyes,she was a victim.A victim of her own tortured mind! I can only pray that she really did take her own life,rather than that decision being made for her.
