I can't find any reference from the defense that requested or argued over the release of tapes or any records of tapes being denied because of PII. Indeed there would be no basis for a court to force release of the written transcript of a recording but to allow withholding the recording that contains the same exact information on the basis of PII. If a court ruled that PII prevented release it would prevent release of both the recording and transcribing of that recording.
This appears to be one of those things made up by Jeremy defenders and not coming from his lawyers or the legal filings.
I can't be sure, but I believe I got the information from ngb? He was/is one of Jeremy's legal advisors and is in possession of a lot of information that joe public aren't clued in about. But as I said before I can't actually remember where I got the information on that one?
Having said that I must admit that several things being held as common knowledge on the forum have turned out to be just hearsay, much to my dismay.
