we now know that Malcolm Bonnet deployed CA7, and not CA5...
Quote from: mike tesko on March 18, 2011, 11:57:PMwe now know that Malcolm Bonnet deployed CA7, and not CA5...No, he states he deployed CA7, but he doesn't state he didn't also deploy CA5.
Malcolm Bonnett (spelt with double t, not r) may have sent car CA5 to WHF while Pc West was talking to him, and then told Pc West that CA5 was on its way (and possibly also that it would take some time to arrive). Both logs mention CA5 second, so there's no confusion. I know it's been asked elsewhere, but do you know which officers went in CA5?
Quote from: TheBrilliantMistake on March 18, 2011, 11:08:PMCD is Chelmsford since West was at CD and states the message received at CDHQIR (happens to be IN Chelmsford, but it's another building entirely) this is why bonnet says "received a call from PC West at Chelmsford - meaning Chelmsford station)CW is cooperating Witness - hence West logging 'CW Informed' mean Bamber is told about the car being despatched.CW - Cooperating Witness - I suggested it a week ago on another thread, except I said it might be Jeremy.I now think it may be Nevill, as it says 'CD contacting CW [Nevill ?] by landline' followed by 03.56 - GPO have checked phone line to farmhouse and confirm phone left off hook CM 860209

I would like to know, who is telling the truth?
And how come Saxby received a message from Chelmsford over his personal radio, if he was actually at the station?
CW - Cooperating Witness - I suggested it a week ago on another thread, except I said it might be Jeremy.
Quote from: mike tesko on March 19, 2011, 07:24:AMI would like to know, who is telling the truth? Not all of them, that's for certain! I'm inclined to think Pc Saxby's statement is more accurate, as there was specific pressure on the other two to sign statements prepared with references to their sighting of a figure in the bedroom window omitted or grossly watered down. However, these statements were prepared long after the event, so I wouldn't place much trust in the fine details in any of them.Quote from: sarann on March 19, 2011, 07:33:AMAnd how come Saxby received a message from Chelmsford over his personal radio, if he was actually at the station?Perhaps the telephone at Witham wasn't being answered, or was answered by someone else who then contacted Pc Saxby by radio and relayed the request from Pc West.Quote from: sarann on March 19, 2011, 07:40:AMCW - Cooperating Witness - I suggested it a week ago on another thread, except I said it might be Jeremy. It might refer to Nevill, but I suspect that meaning of CW is based on usage in the USA.
