WOW! We don´t know yet. It is from a shop I use regularly, you collect points when you buy things, and then you can choose your prizes. I chose this little travel. We´ll decide later when it will be. Some time during this summer. It is super-short, only one evening, night and morning to get over, then Colchester for three hours, then back in the evening. I love England!
Just used A LOT of money on a trip to Italy, so we´ll only have summer house and then this little trip this summer. Would like to stay in England a little longer.  >:(

Is Colchester worth seeing? They claim it is the oldest town in England.

It is indeed and it was called Camulodunum. It is STILL a garrison town. It has a castle, mostly Norman, I believe, built on the foundations of the original Roman temple. The castle is now a museun WELL worth looking at. The town is set on a hill, as you would expect of a fortification, and is still surrounded by the remains of the old Roman wall. I used to live on the  Roman road which ran from London to Colchester.

It's one of the lovelier parts of Essex. There are some really grungy areas but this part of Essex boarders Suffolk of Constable country and Dedham Vale fame. I guess you're coming into Harwich which is a charming little town but you're not likely to see much of it. It's only about half an hour from Colchester.

Yes, there is this bus ride from Harwitch included in the travel. Now I am really excited - I always try to lure the hubby to come to England. Sometimes I am successful!

Campion junior says that Colchester was the original Camelot and that king Arthur ruled around the East of England.

I will have to read a bit about it, it seems very interesting, and as I say, I have always loved England: the landscapes, buildings, gardens, history - and of course the people!  ;D

I am too, and thank you! Would like to stay longer though, but we already used up our travelling budget for the summer, so there. This trip is for free!  ;D
