I want to go to the Battle of the Flowers in Jersey again. It's brilliant,,but the accommodation gets dearer every year,,so I'll have to look online before places are booked up.

Of all the places I've visited in this country over the years,,I've never been to Essex. :(

The only Essex I've got,,is some Royal Essex pottery. ;D
I did have a cousin,( Manx ) who lived in Southend-on-Sea,,but only got to know, latterly and she sadly died two years ago,,or if I'd known she'd existed,I'd have visited the area.

I too love Snowdonia,,having been to the summit on the tram,,and the views,,beyond the cloud and mist,,are really something else. The actual area where Snowdon stands,is lovely.
Portmeirion is definitely worth a visit too. It's an amazing place.

Hahaha,,Maggie,,I'd loved to have walked up Snowden,,but I was with a friend who was a good 20 years older than me at the time and she couldn't have done it. We did walk up Bradda Head a couple of years ago,,accompanied by the sheep up there. It was as much as my friend could manage at the age of 95 next month. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Not bad for 95 Lookout!!
We climbed Snowden when we were kids!! My older sister had a skirt and high heels on but she made it!!
We went up Snaefell on the train and when we got to the top it was such thick fog that you couldn't see a foot in front of you ;D  The Isle of Man is really beautifull as well.

Maggie,,I must promise myself to go before the end of the summer. It's only a 35 minute flight from Liverpool. Like you,,I love the place.
Found out I have another cousin with Manx blood,,but she lives in New York. We share the same grand-dad,as he was twice married and she is the offspring of his second wife,,my mums' step-mother.

A few of our branch of the Creers went to Utah in the 1800s and became Mormons, still a big family of them over there. ;D

There are so many places to see in England, and I have only seen a small fraction! Plymouth and a bit of Cornwall, London where I once worked for three weeks in Charlotte Street (loved it!) and Brighton. That´s it. Oh, and Edingburgh and some highland when I was four.  :P
Snowdonia sounds great, have to go there! Googled it to see what it looks like - it is actually similar to Iceland.

Alias, Snowdonia is actually in Wales, it's very beautiful and the beaches of the Llyn Peninsula are gorgeous when it isn't raining.  ;D ;D ;D ;D  My daughter went to Iceland just over a year ago, she swam in the blue lagoon surrounded by snow.  She loved it but I guess there's quite a bit more to the country than that.  :)

Oh yes! Unfortunately the international airport is situated in a rather ugly part of the country (the old Amenican base is there - guess we only wanted to give them ugly landscapes....), and the Blue Lagune is in that general area. So if that is all she has seen, it is a shame!
