I told you I won't answer my front door until you read a book on the case.

Actually watching the sewing bee - infinitely more interesting than you repeating yourself. Then I have homework to do. ;)

Jeremy annonced he was starving after driving back to the cottage.

Jeremy cooked fried bacon, toast & coffee. Coffee was also made for the police who watched Jeremy happily eat.

'Right' said Jeremy, pushing away his empty plate and wiping crumbs from his face. 'Lets get on with it. I'm ready to start when you are'.

What absolute rubbish!

And you believe that the author was accurate in describing Jeremy "happily" eating? If this IS the case, PLEASE don't complain the next time you're referred to as being stupid. It will surely happen.

i think the books is a lot better when its not selectively quoted

nothing really wrong with the book other than the fact it was written 20 years ago..

I agree Nugs, I think Wilkes's book is pretty good. I'm not saying the book is rubbish, I'm saying Stan Jones's comment about Jeremy saying he was 'starving' is rubbish. Wilkes just wrote what was 'supposed' to have been said. I just don't believe anyone in that position would say they were starving even if they were guilty!! It is something someone else might saying if they were trying to make someone sound callous.

It makes sense that Jeremy annonced he was starving. As straight afterwards he cooked a meal.

It is a novel. What is a novel you may ask? A novel someone described is a non fictional book with fiction written into it where facts are not available. That describes Wilkes' book.

Adam heaven forbid that you suffer the same loss as Jeremy has. But watching the contradictory feelings running through your body at that time should make an interesting spectacle. For whilst professing so, you appear to have no feelings of compassion towards those who have really lost someone and absolutely no understanding as to the mixed thoughts and feelings such a tragedy might bring to such a person. For whilst you examine every tiny detail (with Wilkes of course taking most of the blame by leading on such gullible minds) you fail to see the wood for the trees. That is the grief felt by Jeremy for the loss of his whole family. Shame on you for having such an immature sense of reality.
