Did Jeremy hate June ?

'He used to call me mummy all the time. He offerred me his mothers small car which had been bought that Christmas. This was just after the shooting. A list had been drawn up and he was going to keep no momentoes, which I thought very strange. He wanted to sell everthing'.

'Jeremy resented his mother because she sent him away to boarding school. He never forgave her for that.

'Apparently she was a religious maniac'.

'A few months before the murders Jeremy had told me her mother was thinking of changing her will in favour of her grandsons, on whom she doted'.

A more pertinent question would be where did Mary Mugford get all this information. If she got it from Jeremy then how did he get it if he never spoke to his mother? Chinese whispers perhaps?

None of it is information. It is all Jeremys opinions.

So, if he heard about all this information how did he get it seeing he never spoke to June?

The only information he told to Mary Mugford was about Junes will.

That information could have come from Neville, Sheila, Basil Cock, Colin Caffell or Jeremy being nosey in the study. Or June may have told him, perhaps after she found rats in her car.

I would have to wonder if Jeremy was ever asked if he said those things OR what form they took. I very MUCH doubt that there was ANY dialogue between him and Julie's mother after he dumped Julie - indeed, why would there be- and had it been MY daughter who had managed to get herself into the position that Julie was in, I'd be VERY careful what I said in order that she didn't suffer prejudice or find her position compromised. What she gave, IMO, was her own opinion of what Jeremy thought, The word "never" is used three times within a very short space. A sweeping statement at the best of times and definitely NOT something which can be said of others.

Beyond that my only knowledge of his relationship with June is what I have read....and more than one person gave evidence of his poor relationship with his parents.  But Sheila did not have a good relationship with June either...., or at least she may have had an uneasy one.

april very well put we do not know if Jeremy ever said those words even if he did does not make him a murderer they must have been feeling insecure about his conviction to have this gossip repeated in Court.

Adam has been shown several times the fact that JB had said he had had times where there were ups and downs in their relationship same as many families -but he choses to ignore that plus as you have said SC had a strained relationship with June. But he will pick and chose the bits that suit him . But tbh as we have explained hundreds of times if every body who said they hated their families turned into killers the jails would be overflowing.
