With all that in mind do you think that capital punishment is the kinder sentence?
Hi Grahame  :)  No I don't ever believe in capital punishment, to me it's legalised state murder and totally unacceptable in any situation.  If a man or woman claims they're innocent when found guilty the state should explore every avenue to make sure they are guilty and prove it beyond reasonable doubt.
No one should be expendable because it costs too much, or because percentage wise they get more right than wrong.  It's totally unacceptable in a so called civilised society.
Also a huge amount of prisoners are mentally ill and shouldn't be in prison, they should be treated, we don't chuck people in prison because they are physically ill well the same should go for the mentally ill, we are far from civilised in many ways imo

The next step being the acceptance. Which is probably why Jeremy feels like he does, having been knocked back in the past. We all know what it's like waiting for important news !!
Should think he's on tenter hooks and totally stressed at the moment, lookout.  :-\

Yes,Maggie,he must be. This is the downfall in most people as they don't take each case or that person as an individual, therefore no thought is put into the feelings of that person,,particularly Jeremy,as he's been clumped with the others as just being " another prisoner serving his sentence ". The world is an uncaring place, and must feel a darn sight worse when you literally have nobody at all in your life.

So "Daisy" is real then. I still don´t think she should have come out with this, because Jeremy Bamber has no way of giving his version.

I wouldn't read too much into it if I were you,Alias. Sounds a tad sour-grapish to me.

I can understand her being hurt if she has supported him to the degree that she describes. However, Jeremy is in an extremely desperate position which probably doesn't make him a very nice person when his backs against the wall. I don't suppose he understands much about loyalty given his situation and how he got there.

Raven suspect he will be busy with his forthcoming Appeal.  He will get back to you I am sure of that. ;D ;D ;D

I hope so...and obviously hope that he is willing to allow me to make a start on the book. It has only been a week or so since I wrote to him actually, but I'm incurably impatient so have been stalking the postman ever since in anticipation of a reply  :D

I had the same feeling, but after reading Aunt Agatha´s post, I accept that she is real.

I'm sure he'll reply - he gets a lot of letters every time Crimes That Shook Britain is on TV and it was on recently.
