Susan.  As I see it, it was Julie who got Jeremy convicted; is it feasible that a potential murderer would announce his intention to his girlfriend and then dump her ? hardly! But it seems that the Woodentops believed her.

I like it.The Woodentops. ;D

I'm very much in favour of Julie having been pursuaded by all parties,,particularly the police who could have told her that there would be something in it for her if she stands as a prosecuting witness,i.e.a trip to the NOTW.!

As opposed to a trip to the dole queue if she got a conviction of her own? ;D

lookout, you may imagine how I HATE finding my self in a position where I'm saying, no, whispering this in case you know who hears, but what might any of us have done under the same circumstances. I suppose she could shrug off any responsibility for it by telling herself if he hadn't dumped her she wouldn't have done it. Let's face it, she COULD have gone against everything the rellies said of him. She could actually have dismissed EVERYTHING they said as jealousy and greed.

April1,  There can be no mitigating circs; if she's found to have been lying in such circumstances- then she's for the high jump (whatever that is)

Absolutely,April.Julie wasn't that thick or stupid not to realise what was behind the relatives attitudes towards Jeremy. Julie's the type who,,if everything had been hunky-dory at the time,,would have probably turned on the relatives and told them that things weren't as they had perceived them to be.
The " dumping " couldn't have come at a worse time for Jeremy,,though he had no concept of what was to happen. It's what I would have frivolously put it,as Sods Law.

This was Robert Boutflour's case not Julie's. As for the forensic evidence issue at White House Farm,I was only pointing out the differences between the Simon Hall case and Jeremy's,a simple point which members have used for some unknown reason to their advantage.

Hi lookout nothing wrong with steve's work it is the credibility of it that concerns me. He writes like a poet and his use of the English Language is second to none.
