I had some sympathy with Jeremy as a child, bullied on the school bus because of his plummy accent,no real friends at public school where he was packed off then bullied again as he confided in someone that he was adopted. If only he had told his parents of his dreams to own a wine bar,an ambition he could have realized with a tenth of the capital Nevill and June had. Sheila remember had been given the option of running an antique shop in the country by June but turned it down. Whatever was going on inside Jeremy's head it was taken for granted by his parents that he would run the farm, and Nevill would naturally wish Jeremy to look smart when he met the trustees. It's just a small area of rebelliousness which led to an evil plan as ultimately Jeremy realized he had the power to take everything and just walk away
Maybe to his peers yes,and possibly when girls were admitted. But the authority figures were not to be crossed.
steve if what you are saying his correct surely Jeremy would have blamed his birth parents for him being labelled a bastard not poor Ralph and June who loved him and provided him with the best money could buy. Had another couple adopted Jeremy other than Ralph and June would he have murdered them do you think.
Jeremy went along with it all until he had to knuckle down to serious work on the Farm(remember on return from the Antipodes he obtained employment at a Little Chef..so much for the career farmer). Most people are not mass murderers so no I don't think Jeremy would have murdered other adoptive parents had he not learned a smattering of schizophrenia and realized that if Sheila and the twins were out of the way as well as his parents he would inherit and be rid of the Farm at one and the same time.
Steve, I'm hanging on to the belief that despite what you sometimes write, there's an intelligent mind so I'm going to ask you to try to look objectively at what you've just posted. What would YOU think of that post if someone else sent it? How the hell do you think it possible to learn a bit if schizophrenia. She'd been diagnosed for less than a year and they weren't living under the same roof. As for him working in the Little Chef, it shows a work ethic. He COULD have sat around and done nothing. I think you should put more thought into the words you write.
So Jeremy went back to his car for a jacket did he? There may be an innocent explanation of course, along with the glossy brochures of luxury cars on the coffee table at Goldhanger. Blood was found in Nevill's car which was never explained. And of course Jeremy drove Police back to Bourtree Cottage in his own vehicle with an air of insouciance once that acting segment charade was over.http://jeremybamberforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,2220.15.html
Hello april just thinking is that where he met Julie in the Little Chef.
I wonder if he ever had the conversation with his parents about his future-I suspect not. Of course blaming Sheila was central to his plan which he put into operation from the moment the Police arrived.
